Mustadrak Al Hakim 3803
Regarding the statement of Allah Almighty: "Indeed, in them you have an excellent example." (Al-Mumtahanah: 6) "Indeed, for you, in them there was an excellent example." (Translation: Kanz-ul-Iman, Imam Ahmad Raza Khan) Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) states: (The excellent example to be followed is) in (the lives of) Ibrahim (Abraham) and his companions, except for what he (Ibrahim) had sought forgiveness for his polytheistic father (meaning, he should not be followed in this act). ** This hadith is Sahih al-Isnad, but Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) and Imam Muslim (may Allah have mercy on him) have not narrated it.
" حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما اللہ تعالیٰ کے ارشاد : لَقَدْ کَانَ لَکُمْ فِیْھِمْ اُسْوَۃٌ حَسَنَۃٌ ( الممتحنۃ : 6 ) ’’ بیشک تمہارے لیے ان میں اچھی پیروی تھی ۔‘‘ ( ترجمہ کنزالایمان ، امام احمد رضا رحمۃ اللہ علیہ ) کے متعلق فرماتے ہیں : ابراہیم اور ان کے ساتھیوں میں ، سوائے اس کے کہ جو انہوں نے اپنے مشرک باپ کے لئے استغفار کیا تھا ( یعنی اس عمل میں ان کی پیروی نہیں کی جائے گی ) ٭٭ یہ حدیث صحیح الاسناد ہے لیکن امام بخاری رحمۃ اللہ علیہ اور امام مسلم رحمۃ اللہ علیہ نے اسے نقل نہیں کیا ۔"
Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a Allah Ta'ala ke Irshad: Laqad Kana Lakum Feehim Uswatun Hasana (Al Mumtahina: 6) '' Beshak tumhare lye un me acchi pairvi thi. '' (Tarjuma Kanzul Iman, Imam Ahmad Raza Rehmatullah Alaih) Ke mutaliq farmate hain: Ibrahim aur un ke sathion me, siwaye is ke jo unhon ne apne mushrik baap ke lye istigfar kya tha (yani is amal me un ki pairvi nahi ki jaye gi) ** Ye hadees Sahih Al Isnad hai lekin Imam Bukhari Rehmatullah Alaih aur Imam Muslim Rehmatullah Alaih ne ise naqal nahi kya.
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ السَّلَامِ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ، أَنْبَأَ جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا، فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِيهِمْ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ} [الممتحنة: 6] قَالَ: «فِي صُنْعِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ إِلَّا فِي اسْتِغْفَارِهِ لِأَبِيهِ وَهُوَ مُشْرِكٌ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ "" [التعليق - من تلخيص الذهبي] 3803 - صحيح
