Qabas bin Ashim al-Kinani Laythi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) declared his Prophethood forty years after the Year of the Elephant. ** This hadith has a Sahih (authentic) chain of narrators, but Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) and Imam Muslim (may Allah have mercy on him) did not narrate it. Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated from 'Ikrimah (may Allah be pleased with him) that Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "(The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)) declared his Prophethood at the age of forty." The evidence for the authenticity of Qabas bin Ashim's hadith is that Sayyidut-Tabi'een ( Saeed bin Musayyib (may Allah be pleased with him)) preferred this statement, as Yahya bin Saeed narrates that Saeed bin Musayyib (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Revelation came down upon the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) at the age of forty.
" حضرت قباث بن اشیم الکنانی لیثی رضی اللہ عنہ فرماتے ہیں : رسول اللہ ﷺ نے عام الفیل سے چالیس سال بعد اعلان نبوت فرمایا ۔ ٭٭ یہ حدیث صحیح الاسناد ہے لیکن امام بخاری رحمۃ اللہ علیہ اور امام مسلم رحمۃ اللہ علیہ نے اسے نقل نہیں کیا ۔ امام بخاری رحمۃ اللہ علیہ نے عکرمہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے حوالے سے حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کا یہ بیان نقل کیا ہے : ( رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ) چالیس سال کی عمر میں نبوت کا اعلان فرمایا : قباث بن اثیم کی حدیث کی صحت کی دلیل یہ ہے کہ سیدالتابعین ( حضرت سعید بن مسیب رضی اللہ عنہ ) نے اس قول کو اختیار فرمایا ہے جیسا کہ یحیی بن سعید روایت کرتے ہیں کہ سعید بن مسیب رضی اللہ عنہ فرماتے ہیں : نبی اکرم ﷺ پر چالیس سال کی عمر میں وحی نازل ہوئی ۔"
Hazrat Qabas bin Ashim al-Kinani Laythi (رضي الله تعالى عنه) farmate hain : Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Aam ul Fil se chalis saal baad elaan e Nabuwat farmaya. ** Yeh hadees Sahih al-Isnad hai lekin Imam Bukhari Rahmatullah Alaih aur Imam Muslim Rahmatullah Alaih ne ise naqal nahin kya. Imam Bukhari Rahmatullah Alaih ne Akrama (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ke hawale se Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ka yeh bayan naqal kya hai : ( Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ) chalis saal ki umar mein Nabuwat ka elaan farmaya : Qabas bin Athim ki hadees ki sehat ki daleel yeh hai ke Sayyidut Tabei'een ( Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ) ne is qaul ko ikhtiyar farmaya hai jaisa ke Yahya bin Saeed riwayat karte hain ke Saeed bin Musayyib (رضي الله تعالى عنه) farmate hain : Nabi Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) par chalis saal ki umar mein wahi nazil hui.
أَخْبَرَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ الشَّعْرَانِيُّ، ثنا جَدِّي، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ الْحِزَامِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ الزُّهْرِيُّ، ثنا الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ أَبِي الْحُوَيْرِثِ، عَنْ قَبَاثِ بْنِ أَشْيَمَ الْكِنَانِيِّ ثُمَّ اللَّيْثِيِّ قَالَ: «تَنَبَّأَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى رَأْسِ أَرْبَعِينَ مِنَ الْفِيلِ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ، إِنَّمَا أَخْرَجَ الْبُخَارِيُّ حَدِيثَ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: بُعِثَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَرْبَعِينَ. وَالدَّلِيلُ عَلَى صِحَّةِ حَدِيثِ قَبَاثِ بْنِ أَشْيَمَ اخْتِيَارُ سَيِّدِ التَّابِعِينَ هَذَا الْقَوْلَ "" كَمَا أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُؤَمَّلِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ، ثنا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ قَالَ: «أُنْزِلَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلَاثٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ» [التعليق - من تلخيص الذهبي] 4213 - عبد العزيز بن أبي ثابت واه
