Ja'far ibn Muhammad narrates this statement of his father: When Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, was martyred, his noble age was 58 years.
حضرت جعفر بن محمد اپنے والد کا یہ بیان نقل کرتے ہیں : جب حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ شہید ہوئے اس وقت آپ کی عمر شریف 58 برس تھی ۔
Hazrat Jaffar bin Muhammad apne walid ka yeh bayan naqal karte hain : Jab Hazrat Ali (رضي الله تعالى عنه) shaheed huye us waqt aap ki umar sharif 58 baras thi .
فَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ الْعَدْلُ، قَالَا: أَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: «قُتِلَ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَمَانٍ وَخَمْسِينَ» [التعليق - من تلخيص الذهبي] 4695 - سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص
