Mention of Hazrat Bara' ibn Ma'rur ibn Sakhr ibn Khunays, who was the first spokesman of Islam
تذكرة حضرة براء بن معرور بن صخر بن خنساء رضي الله عنه أول نقيب في الإسلام
Mustadrak Al Hakim 4832
Yahya bin Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah narrates from his father, and he from his grandfather, that Bura' bin Ma'rur (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away in the month of Safar, a month before the arrival of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in Medina. And he was the first among the veiled companions to pass away.
حضرت یحیی بن عبداللہ بن ابی قتادہ اپنے والد سے وہ ان کے دادا سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ حضرت براء بن معرور رضی اللہ عنہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے مدینہ تشریف لانے سے ایک مہینہ پہلے ماہ صفر المظفر میں انتقال کر گئے تھے ۔ اور یہ نقباء صحابہ میں سب سے پہلے صحابی ہیں ۔
Hazrat Yahya bin Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah apne walid se woh un ke dada se riwayat karte hain ke Hazrat Bara bin Marur RA Rasool Allah SAW ke Madina tashreef laane se ek mahina pehle mah Safar al-Muzaffar mein inteqal kar gaye the. Aur yeh nuqaba sahaba mein sab se pehle sahabi hain.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ بَطَّةَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ جَهْمٍ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ: «كَانَ مَوْتُ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ مَعْرُورٍ فِي صَفَرٍ قَبْلَ قَدُومِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِشَهْرٍ، وَكَانَ أَوَّلُ مَنْ تَكَلَّمَ مِنَ النُّقَبَاءِ»
