Mustadrak Al Hakim 7695
Abdullah said: When someone sneezes, they should say ‘Alhamdulillah’ (Praise be to Allah), and the one who hears it should say ‘Yarhamukallah’ (May Allah have mercy on you). When the listener says ‘Yarhamukallah’, the one who sneezed should say ‘Yaghfirullah Lana Wa Lakum’ (May Allah forgive us and you). ** Until this statement is attributed to a reliable narrator, this statement of Abdullah will remain ‘preserved’. The narration of Salim bin ‘Ubaidullah Nakh’i is as follows on this topic:
" حضرت عبداللہ فرماتے ہیں : جب کسی کو چھینک آئے تو وہ ’’ الحمدللہ ‘‘ کہے ، اور سننے والا ’’ یرحمک اللہ ‘‘ کہے ۔ جب سننے والا ’’ یرحمکم اللہ ‘‘ کہہ دے تو چھینکنے والا کہے ’’ یغفر اللہ لنا و لکم ‘‘۔ ٭٭ اس کلام کو جب تک کوئی معتمد علیہ راوی مسند نہیں کر دے گا ، عبداللہ کا یہ کلام ’’ محفوظ ‘‘ رہے گا ۔ اس موضوع پر سالم بن عبیداللہ نخعی کی روایت درج ذیل ہے ۔"
Hazrat Abdullah farmate hain : jab kisi ko chheenk aaye to woh ''alhamdulillah'' kahe, aur sunne wala ''yarhamuk Allah'' kahe. Jab sunne wala ''yarhamukum Allah'' keh de to chheenkne wala kahe ''yaghfir Allah lana wa lakum''. ** Is kalam ko jab tak koi motamad alih ravi musnad nahi kar de ga, Abdullah ka ye kalam ''mahfooz'' rahe ga. Is mauzu par Salim bin Ubaidullah Nakhai ki riwayat darj zail hai.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ الرَّمْلِيُّ، ثَنَا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الصَّفَّارُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى الْقَاضِي، ثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْمَحْبُوبِيُّ، ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَيَارٍ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ غَالِبٍ، ثَنَا أَبُو حُذَيْفَةَ، ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: " إِذَا عَطَسَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَقُلِ: الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلْيُقَلْ لَهُ: يَرْحَمُكُمُ اللَّهُ فَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُ: يَرْحَمُكُمُ اللَّهُ فَلْيَقُلْ: يَغْفِرُ اللَّهُ لَنَا وَلَكُمْ «هَذَا الْمَحْفُوظُ مِنْ كَلَامِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ إِذَا لَمْ يُسْنِدْهُ مَنْ يعْتَمِدُ رِوَايَتَهُ»
