Mustadrak Al Hakim 7858
Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the presence of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), while the Prophet (peace be upon him) was resting on a mat, and there were marks of the mat on his side. Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O Messenger of Allah, should I not prepare a comfortable bedding for you?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, "What have I to do with the world and what has the world to do with me? By the One in whose grip of power is my soul, my example and that of the world is like a traveler who travels on a hot day and rests under a shady tree for a while and then leaves it and resumes his journey." ** This hadith is Sahih (authentic) according to the criteria of Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) but the two Shaykhs (Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim) (may Allah have mercy on them both) did not narrate it. The witness for this hadith is the narration of Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him).
" حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ نبی اکرم ﷺ کی بارگاہ میں حاضر ہوئے ، حضور ﷺ چٹائی پر آرام فرما رہے تھے ، اور آپ ﷺ کے پہلو میں چٹائی کے نشانات تھے ، حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کی : یا رسول اللہ ﷺ آپ کوئی آرام دہ بچھونا بنوا لیجیے ، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا : ہمیں دنیا سے اور دنیا کو ہم سے کیا تعلق ؟ اس ذات کی قسم ! جس کے قبضہ قدرت میں میری جان ہے ، میری اور دنیا کی مثال یوں ہے جیسے کوئی مسافر سخت گرمی کے دن سفر کر رہا ہو ، اور دن کے وقت کسی سایہ دار درخت کے نیچے آرام کرتا ہو پھر اس درخت کو چھوڑ کر آگے سفر شروع کر دے ۔ ٭٭ یہ حدیث امام بخاری رحمۃ اللہ علیہ کے معیار کے مطابق صحیح ہے لیکن شیخین رحمۃ اللہ علیہما نے اس کو نقل نہیں کیا ۔ اس حدیث کی شاہد وہ حدیث ہے جس کو عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ نے روایت کیا ہے ۔"
Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a farmate hain ki Hazrat Umar bin Khattab (رضي الله تعالى عنه) Nabi Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki bargah mein hazir hue, Huzoor (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) chatai par aaram farma rahe the, aur Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pahlu mein chatai ke nishanat the, Hazrat Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne arz ki: Ya Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Aap koi aaram deh bichona banwa lijiye, Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: humein duniya se aur duniya ko hum se kya ta'lluq? Iss Zaat ki qasam! Jis ke qabza qudrat mein meri jaan hai, meri aur duniya ki misaal yun hai jaise koi musafir sakht garmi ke din safar kar raha ho, aur din ke waqt kisi saya daar darakht ke neeche aaram karta ho phir uss darakht ko chhor kar aage safar shuru kar de. ** Ye hadees Imam Bukhari Rahmatullah Alaih ke miyaar ke mutabiq sahih hai lekin Shekhan Rahmatullah Alaihema ne iss ko naql nahi kiya. Iss hadees ki shahid wo hadees hai jiss ko Abdullah bin Masood (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne riwayat kiya hai.
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ الْعَدْلُ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ غَالِبٍ، ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، ثَنَا ثَابِتُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، ثَنَا هِلَالُ بْنُ خَبَّابٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: دَخَلَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ عَلَى حَصِيرٍ قَدْ أَثَّرَ فِي جَنْبِهِ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، لَوِ اتَّخَذْتَ فِرَاشًا أَوْثَرَ مِنْ هَذَا، فَقَالَ: «مَا لِي وَلِلدُّنْيَا وَمَا لِلدُّنْيَا وَمَا لِي، وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ مَا مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا كَرَاكِبٍ سَارَ فِي يَوْمٍ صَائِفٍ فَاسْتَظَلَّ تَحْتَ شَجَرَةٍ سَاعَةً مِنْ نَهَارٍ ثُمَّ رَاحَ وَتَرَكَهَا» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الْبُخَارِيِّ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ "" وَشَاهِدُهُ حَدِيثُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ [التعليق - من تلخيص الذهبي] 7858 - على شرط البخاري ومسلم
