Chapter: Placing One's Face and Chest On The Back Wall Of The Kabah

باب وَضْعِ الصَّدْرِ وَالْوَجْهِ عَلَى مَا اسْتَقْبَلَ مِنْ دُبُرِ الْكَعْبَةِ

Sunan an-Nasa'i 2915

Usamah bin Zaid (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that he entered the House with the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). He sat and praised Allah, and recited the Takbir, and the Tahlil. Then he went to the wall of the House that was in front of him, and placed his chest, cheek, and hands on it, then he recited the Takbir, and the Tahlil, and supplicated. And he did that in all the corners, then he came out, and turned to face the Qiblah while he was in front of the door, and he said, 'this is the Qiblah, this is the Qiblah.’

اسامہ بن زید رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں رسول اللہ ﷺ کے ساتھ خانہ کعبہ کے اندر گیا۔ آپ بیٹھے پھر آپ نے اللہ کی حمد و ثنا اور تکبیر و تہلیل کی، پھر آپ بیت اللہ کے اس حصہ کی طرف جھکے جو آپ کے سامنے تھا، اور آپ نے اس پر اپنا سینہ، رخسار اور اپنے دونوں ہاتھ رکھے، پھر تکبیر و تہلیل کی، اور دعا مانگی، آپ نے اسی طرح خانہ کعبہ کے سبھی ستونوں پر کیا، پھر باہر نکلے دروازے کے پاس آئے، اور قبلہ رخ ہو کر فرمایا: ”یہی قبلہ ہے یہی قبلہ ہے ۱؎“۔

Asamah bin Zaid (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke main Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath Khana-e-Kaba ke andar gaya. Aap baithe phir Aap ne Allah ki hamd o sana aur takbeer o tahleel ki, phir Aap Bait-ul-Lah ke us hissa ki taraf jhuke jo Aap ke samne tha, aur Aap ne is par apna seenah, rukhsar aur apne dono hath rakhe, phir takbeer o tahleel ki, aur dua mangi, Aap ne isi tarah Khana-e-Kaba ke sabhi satoon par kiya, phir bahir nikale darwaze ke pass aaye, aur qibla rukh ho kar farmaaya: ”Yahi qibla hai yahi qibla hai 1؎“.

أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، قَالَ دَخَلْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْبَيْتَ فَجَلَسَ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ وَكَبَّرَ وَهَلَّلَ ثُمَّ مَالَ إِلَى مَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ فَوَضَعَ صَدْرَهُ عَلَيْهِ وَخَدَّهُ وَيَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ كَبَّرَ وَهَلَّلَ وَدَعَا فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ بِالأَرْكَانِ كُلِّهَا ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَأَقْبَلَ عَلَى الْقِبْلَةِ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْبَابِ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ هَذِهِ الْقِبْلَةُ هَذِهِ الْقِبْلَةُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Sunan an-Nasa'i 2916

Usamah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) came out of the House and prayed two Rakah in front of the Kabah, then he said, 'this is the Qiblah.'


Grade: Sahih

اسامہ بن زید رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ خانہ کعبہ سے باہر آئے، اور کعبہ کے سامنے آپ نے دو رکعتیں پڑھیں، پھر فرمایا: ”یہی قبلہ ہے“۔

Asamah bin Zaid (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Khana Ka'aba se bahar aaye, aur Ka'aba ke samne aap ne do rak'atien parhi, phir farmaya: “Yahi qibla hai”.

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ، قَالَ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنَ الْبَيْتِ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ فِي قُبُلِ الْكَعْبَةِ ثُمَّ قَالَ ‏"‏ هَذِهِ الْقِبْلَةُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Sunan an-Nasa'i 2917

Ata narrated that he heard Ibn Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) saying, Usamah bin Zaid ( رضي الله تعالى عنه) told him that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) entered the House, and supplicated in all its corner, but he did not pray inside until he came out; when he came out he prayed two Rakah in front of the Kabah.’

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ مجھے اسامہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہما نے خبر دی ہے کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ کعبہ کے اندر گئے اور اس کے سبھی گوشوں میں ( جا جا کر ) دعا کی، اور اس میں نماز نہیں پڑھی یہاں تک کہ آپ اس سے باہر آ گئے، اور باہر آ کر آپ نے کعبہ کے سامنے دو رکعتیں پڑھیں۔

Abdul-Allah bin Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a kehte hain ke mujhe Usamah bin Zaid ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne khabar di hai ke Nabi-e-Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Kaba ke andar gaye aur uske sabhi gosho mein ( ja ja kar ) dua ki, aur is mein namaz nahi padhi yahan tak ke aap is se bahar aa gaye, aur bahar aa kar aap ne Kaba ke samne do rakatiyan padhin.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، خُشَيْشُ بْنُ أَصْرَمَ النَّسَائِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، يَقُولُ أَخْبَرَنِي أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم دَخَلَ الْبَيْتَ فَدَعَا فِي نَوَاحِيهِ كُلِّهَا وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ فِيهِ حَتَّى خَرَجَ مِنْهُ فَلَمَّا خَرَجَ رَكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فِي قُبُلِ الْكَعْبَةِ ‏.‏

Sunan an-Nasa'i 2918

Muhammad bin Abdullah bin As-Saib narrated from his father that he used to lead Ibn Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) and make him stand at the third side (of the Kabah next to the corner that is next to the stone, in between the stone and the door). Ibn Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said, have you heard that the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) used to pray here? He said, ‘yes.’ So, he went forward and prayed.


Grade: Da'if

عبداللہ بن سائب کہتے ہیں کہ وہ ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کو ( جب بڑھاپے سے ان کی بینائی جاتی رہی تھی ) سہارا دے کر لے جاتے اور لے کر خانہ کعبہ کے انہیں تیسرے کونے میں جو اس رکن کے قریب ہے جو حجر اسود سے متصل ہے اور بیت اللہ کے دروازے سے بھی قریب ہے کھڑا کر دیتے تھے تو ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے: کیا تمہیں نہیں بتایا گیا ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ یہیں نماز پڑھتے تھے، وہ کہتے: جی ہاں، بتایا گیا، تو وہ آگے بڑھتے اور نماز پڑھتے۔

Abdul-Allah bin Saib kehte hain ke woh Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ko ( jab budhape se un ki binaai jaati rahi thi) sahara de kar le jaate aur le kar Khana Kaaba ke unhein teesre kone mein jo is rukn ke qareeb hai jo Hajar Aswad se muttasil hai aur Baitullah ke darwaze se bhi qareeb hai khada kar dete the to Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a kehte: kya tumhen nahin bataya gaya hai ke Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) yaheen namaz padhte the, woh kehte: ji han, bataya gaya, to woh aage badhte aur namaz padhte.

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا السَّائِبُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُودُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ وَيُقِيمُهُ عِنْدَ الشُّقَّةِ الثَّالِثَةِ مِمَّا يَلِي الرُّكْنَ الَّذِي يَلِي الْحَجَرَ مِمَّا يَلِي الْبَابَ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ أَمَا أُنْبِئْتَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يُصَلِّي هَا هُنَا فَيَقُولُ نَعَمْ فَيَتَقَدَّمُ فَيُصَلِّي ‏.‏
