Sunan an-Nasa'i 1132
. Awf bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that he prayed Qiyam Qiyam with the Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). He started by using the Siwak and performing wudu, then he stood and prayed. He started reciting Al-Baqarah and he did not come to any verse that spoke of mercy but he paused and asked for mercy, and he did not come to any verse that spoke of punishment but he paused (and sought refuge with Allah from that). Then he bowed and he stayed bowing for as long as he had stood and he said while bowing - ' ِِ يَاءِ وَالْعَظَمَةسُبْحَانَ ذِي الْجَبَرُوتِ وَالْمَلَكُوتِ وَالْكِبْر[Glory be to the One Who has all power, sovereignty, magnificence and might]. Then he prostrated for as long as he had bowed, saying while prostrating - ِِ يَاءِ وَالْعَظَمَةسُبْحَانَ ذِي الْجَبَرُوتِ وَالْمَلَكُوتِ وَالْكِبْر [Glory be to the One Who has all power, sovereignty, magnificence and might]. Then he recited Aal-e-Imran, then another surah and another, doing that each time.

عوف بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نبی اکرم ﷺ کے ساتھ اٹھا، پہلے آپ نے مسواک کی، پھر وضو کیا، پھر کھڑے ہوئے اور نماز پڑھنے لگے، تو آپ نے سورۃ البقرہ شروع کی، آپ جب بھی کسی رحمت کی آیت سے گزرتے تو ٹھہرتے اور اللہ تعالیٰ سے اس پر رحمت کا سوال کرتے، اور جب بھی عذاب کی کسی آیت سے گزرتے تو ٹھہرتے، اور اس کے عذاب سے اس کی پناہ مانگتے، پھر آپ نے رکوع کیا، تو رکوع میں اپنے قیام کے بقدر ٹھہرے رہے، آپ اپنے رکوع میں کہہ رہے تھے: «سبحان ذي الجبروت والملكوت والكبرياء والعظمة» پھر آپ نے اپنے رکوع کے بقدر سجدہ کیا، اور اپنے سجدے میں آپ کہہ رہے تھے: «سبحان ذي الجبروت والملكوت والكبرياء والعظمة»، پھر آپ نے دوسری رکعت میں سورۃ آل عمران پڑھی، پھر ایک اور سورۃ پڑھی، پھر ایک اور سورۃ پڑھی، آپ نے اسی طرح کیا۔
Auf bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke main Nabi-e-Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke saath utha, pehle aap ne miswaak ki, phir wudu kiya, phir khare hue aur namaz padhne lage, to aap ne Surah al-Baqarah shuru ki, aap jab bhi kisi rahmat ki aayat se guzarte to thahrte aur Allah Ta'ala se is par rahmat ka sawal karte, aur jab bhi azab ki kisi aayat se guzarte to thahrte, aur us ke azab se is ki panaah maangte, phir aap ne rukoo kiya, to rukoo mein apne qiyam ke badar thahre rahe, aap apne rukoo mein kah rahe the: «Subhan Dhi al-Jabroot wal-Mulkut wal-Kubriya wal-Azmat» phir aap ne apne rukoo ke badar sujood kiya, aur apne sujood mein aap kah rahe the: «Subhan Dhi al-Jabroot wal-Mulkut wal-Kubriya wal-Azmat», phir aap ne dusri rakat mein Surah al-Imran padhi, phir ek aur surah padhi, phir ek aur surah padhi, aap ne isi tarah kiya.
أَخْبَرَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سَوَّارٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ قَيْسٍ الْكِنْدِيِّ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَاصِمَ بْنَ حُمَيْدٍ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ عَوْفَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، يَقُولُ قُمْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَبَدَأَ فَاسْتَاكَ وَتَوَضَّأَ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى فَبَدَأَ فَاسْتَفْتَحَ مِنَ الْبَقَرَةِ لاَ يَمُرُّ بِآيَةِ رَحْمَةٍ إِلاَّ وَقَفَ وَسَأَلَ وَلاَ يَمُرُّ بِآيَةِ عَذَابٍ إِلاَّ وَقَفَ يَتَعَوَّذُ ثُمَّ رَكَعَ فَمَكَثَ رَاكِعًا بِقَدْرِ قِيَامِهِ يَقُولُ فِي رُكُوعِهِ " سُبْحَانَ ذِي الْجَبَرُوتِ وَالْمَلَكُوتِ وَالْكِبْرِيَاءِ وَالْعَظَمَةِ " . ثُمَّ سَجَدَ بِقَدْرِ رُكُوعِهِ يَقُولُ فِي سُجُودِهِ " سُبْحَانَ ذِي الْجَبَرُوتِ وَالْمَلَكُوتِ وَالْكِبْرِيَاءِ وَالْعَظَمَةِ " . ثُمَّ قَرَأَ آلَ عِمْرَانَ ثُمَّ سُورَةً ثُمَّ سُورَةً فَعَلَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ .
