Sunan an-Nasa'i 2106
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that while the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, 'there has come to you Ramadan, a blessed month, which Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, has enjoined you to fast. In it the gates of heavens are opened, and the gates of Hell are closed, and every devil is chained up. In it, Allah has a night which is better than a thousand months; whoever is deprived of its goodness is indeed deprived.’

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”رمضان کا مبارک مہینہ تمہارے پاس آ چکا ہے، اللہ تعالیٰ نے تم پر اس کے روزے فرض کر دیئے ہیں، اس میں آسمان کے دروازے کھول دئیے جاتے ہیں، جہنم کے دروازے بند کر دئیے جاتے ہیں، اور سرکش شیاطین کو بیڑیاں پہنا دی جاتی ہیں، اور اس میں اللہ تعالیٰ کے لیے ایک رات ایسی ہے جو ہزار مہینوں سے بہتر ہے، جو اس کے خیر سے محروم رہا تو وہ بس محروم ہی رہا“۔
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Ramzan ka Mubarak mahina tumhare pass aa chuka hai, Allah Ta'ala ne tum par is ke roze farz kar diye hain, is mein aasman ke darwaze khol diye jate hain, Jahannam ke darwaze band kar diye jate hain, aur sarkash shayateen ko beediyan pehna di jati hain, aur is mein Allah Ta'ala ke liye ek raat aisi hai jo hazar mahino se behtar hai, jo is ke khair se mahrum raha to woh bas mahrum hi raha".
أَخْبَرَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ هِلاَلٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " أَتَاكُمْ رَمَضَانُ شَهْرٌ مُبَارَكٌ فَرَضَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَلَيْكُمْ صِيَامَهُ تُفْتَحُ فِيهِ أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ وَتُغْلَقُ فِيهِ أَبْوَابُ الْجَحِيمِ وَتُغَلُّ فِيهِ مَرَدَةُ الشَّيَاطِينِ لِلَّهِ فِيهِ لَيْلَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ مَنْ حُرِمَ خَيْرَهَا فَقَدْ حُرِمَ " .
