Sunan an-Nasa'i 2121
Abdullah bin 'Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) mentioned Ramadan and said, do not fast until you see the crescent, and do not stop fasting until you see it, and if it is obscured from you (too cloudy), then work it out (complete 30 days).

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے رمضان کا ذکر کیا تو فرمایا: ”تم روزہ نہ رکھو یہاں تک کہ چاند دیکھ لو، اور روزہ رکھنا بند کرو یہاں تک کہ ( چاند ) دیکھ لو، ( اور ) اگر فضا ابر آلود ہو تو اس کا حساب لگا لو“۔
Abdul-Allah ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se riwayat hai ke Rasool Allah sallal laahu alaihi wa sallam ne Ramadan ka zikr kiya to farmaaya: "Tum roza nah rakho yahaan tak ke chaand dekh lo, aur roza rakhna band karo yahaan tak ke (chaand) dekh lo, (aur) agar faza abr aaload ho to is ka hisaab laga lo".
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ، قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ذَكَرَ رَمَضَانَ فَقَالَ " لاَ تَصُومُوا حَتَّى تَرَوُا الْهِلاَلَ وَلاَ تُفْطِرُوا حَتَّى تَرَوْهُ فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فَاقْدُرُوا لَهُ " .
