Sunan an-Nasa'i 3286
Urwah narrated that Zainab bint Abi Salamah -whose mother was Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet- told him that Umm Habibah bint Abi Sufyan told her that she said: O Messenger of Allah, marry my sister, the daughter of Abu Sufyan. She said: The Messenger of Allah said: 'Would you like that?' I said: 'Yes; I do not have you all to myself and I would like to share this goodness with my sister.' The Prophet said: 'Your sister is not permissible for me (to marry).' I said: 'By Allah, O Messenger of Allah, we have been saying that you want to marry Durrah bint Abi Salamah.' He said: 'The daughter of Umm Salamah?' I said: 'Yes.' He said: 'By Allah, even if she were not my stepdaughter who is in my care, she would not be permissible for me (to marry), because she is the daughter of my brother through breast-feeding. Thuwaibah breastfed Abu Salamah and I. So do not offer your daughters or sisters to me in marriage.'

زینب بنت ام سلمہ رضی الله عنہما کہتی ہیں کہ ام المؤمنین ام حبیبہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے رسول اللہ ﷺ سے کہا: ہماری آپس کی بات چیت میں یہ بات سامنے آئی ہے کہ آپ ابوسلمہ کی بیٹی درہ سے نکاح کرنے والے ہیں؟ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: کیا ام سلمہ کے ( میرے نکاح میں ) ہوتے ہوئے؟ ۱؎ اگر میں نے ام سلمہ سے نکاح نہ بھی کیا ہوتا تو بھی وہ ( درہ ) میرے لیے حلال نہ ہوتی، کیونکہ ( وہ میری بھتیجی ہے اور ) اس کا باپ میرا رضاعی بھائی ہے۔
Zainab bint Umme Salma ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a kehti hain ke Am-ul-Momineen Umme Habibah ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) ne Rasool-Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se kaha: humari aapas ki baat cheet mein yeh baat samne aayi hai ke aap Abu-Salma ki beti Dara se nikah karne wale hain? Rasool-Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaaya: kya Umme Salma ke ( mere nikah mein ) hote huye? 1؎ agar main ne Umme Salma se nikah nah bhi kiya hota to bhi woh ( Dara ) mere liye halal nah hoti, kyunkay ( woh meri bhatiji hai aur ) is ka baap mera rizaai bhai hai.
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ عِرَاكِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتَ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّ أُمَّ حَبِيبَةَ قَالَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِنَّا قَدْ تَحَدَّثْنَا أَنَّكَ نَاكِحٌ دُرَّةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " أَعَلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ لَوْ أَنِّي لَمْ أَنْكِحْ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ مَا حَلَّتْ لِي إِنَّ أَبَاهَا أَخِي مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ " .
