Chapter: Mentioning the Differences Reported by Talhah bin Musarrif and Mu'awiyah bin Salih from Y

باب ذِكْرِ اخْتِلاَفِ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ مُصَرِّفٍ وَمُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَلَى يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ
Sunan an-Nasa'i 4035
Anas bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that some Bedouin from 'Uraynah came to the Prophet of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and accepted Islam, but the climate of Madinah did not suit them; their skin turned yellow and their bellies became swollen. The Prophet of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) sent them to some milk camels of his and told them to drink their milk and urine until they recovered. Then they killed their herdsmen and drove off the camels. The Prophet of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) sent (men) after them and they were brought back, then he had their hands and feet cut off, and their eyes were branded.’ Abdul-Malik, (the Umayyed ruler), ased Anas ( رضي الله تعالى عنه), when he was narrating this Hadith, ‘was that (punishment) for Kufr or for sin?’ He said, for Kufr.’

انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ قبیلہ عرینہ کے کچھ اعرابی ( دیہاتی ) نبی اکرم ﷺ کے پاس آئے اور اسلام قبول کیا، انہیں مدینے کی آب و ہوا راس نہیں آئی، یہاں تک کہ ان کے رنگ پیلے پڑ گئے، ان کے پیٹ پھول گئے تو نبی اکرم ﷺ نے انہیں دودھ والی اونٹنیوں کے پاس بھیجا اور انہیں حکم دیا کہ وہ ان کا دودھ اور پیشاب پئیں، یہاں تک کہ جب وہ ٹھیک ہو گئے تو انہوں نے ان چرواہوں کو قتل کر دیا اور اونٹوں کو ہانک لے گئے، نبی اکرم ﷺ نے ان کی تلاش میں کچھ لوگ بھیجے، انہیں لایا گیا تو آپ نے ان کے ہاتھ اور پیر کاٹ دیے، اور ان کی آنکھوں میں گرم سلائی پھیر کر ان کو پھوڑ دیا۔ امیر المؤمنین عبدالملک نے انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہا ( وہ ان سے یہ حدیث بیان کر رہے تھے ) : کفر ( ردت ) کی وجہ سے یا جرم کی وجہ سے ( ان کے ساتھ ایسا کیا گیا ) ؟ انہوں نے کہا: کفر ( ردت ) کی وجہ سے۔
Anas bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke qabila e Arina ke kuchh Arabi ( dehati ) Nabi e akram salla allahu alaihi wasallam ke pas aaye aur Islam qabool kiya, unhen Madina ki ab o hawa ras nahi aai, yahan tak ke un ke rang pille pad gaye, un ke pet phool gaye to Nabi e akram salla allahu alaihi wasallam ne unhen doodh wali oontiyon ke pas bheja aur unhen hukm diya ke woh un ka doodh aur peshab peen, yahan tak ke jab woh theek ho gaye to unhon ne in charwahoon ko qatl kar diya aur oonton ko hank le gaye, Nabi e akram salla allahu alaihi wasallam ne un ki talash mein kuchh log bheje, unhen laya gaya to aap ne un ke hath aur pair kaat diye, aur un ki aankhon mein garm salai phir kar un ko phoor diya. Ameerul Momineen Abdul Malik ne Ins (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se kaha ( woh un se yeh hadees bayan kar rahe the ): kufr ( raddat ) ki wajah se ya jurm ki wajah se ( un ke sath aisa kiya ) ? Unhon ne kaha: kufr ( raddat ) ki wajah se.
أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ مُصَرِّفٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ قَدِمَ أَعْرَابٌ مِنْ عُرَيْنَةَ إِلَى نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَسْلَمُوا فَاجْتَوَوُا الْمَدِينَةَ حَتَّى اصْفَرَّتْ أَلْوَانُهُمْ وَعَظُمَتْ بُطُونُهُمْ فَبَعَثَ بِهِمْ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِلَى لِقَاحٍ لَهُ فَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَشْرَبُوا مِنْ أَلْبَانِهَا وَأَبْوَالِهَا حَتَّى صَحُّوا فَقَتَلُوا رُعَاتِهَا وَاسْتَاقُوا الإِبِلَ فَبَعَثَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي طَلَبِهِمْ فَأُتِيَ بِهِمْ فَقَطَّعَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ وَسَمَّرَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ . قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ لأَنَسٍ وَهُوَ يُحَدِّثُهُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ بِكُفْرٍ أَوْ بِذَنْبٍ قَالَ بِكُفْرٍ .
