Chapter: What was Narrated Concerning Al-Mu'awwidhatain (Two Surahs Seeking Refuge with Allah)

Sunan an-Nasa'i 5432
Abu Abdullah narrated that Ibn Abis Al-Juhani (رضي الله تعالى عنه) reported that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said to him, ‘O Ibn 'Abis (رضي الله تعالى عنه), shall I not tell you of the best thing with which those who seek refuge with Allah may do so?’ He said, ‘yes, O Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم).’ He said - َِّ ب ِّ الْفَلَققُلْ أَعُوذُ بِّر [Say, I seek refuge with (Allah) the Lord of the daybreak.], and َِّب ِّ النَّاسقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِّر [Say, I seek refuge with (Allah) the Lord of mankind.], these two Surah.’

ابن عابس جہنی رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ان سے فرمایا: ”ابن عابس! کیا میں تمہیں نہ بتاؤں؟“ یا کہا: ”کیا میں تمہیں خبر نہ دوں سب سے بہتر پناہ کی جس کے ذریعہ پناہ مانگنے والے پناہ مانگیں؟“ انہوں نے کہا: کیوں نہیں؟ اللہ کے رسول! آپ نے فرمایا: «قل أعوذ برب الفلق» اور «قل أعوذ برب الناس» یہ دونوں سورتیں ( پناہ مانگنے کے لیے سب سے بہتر ہیں ) ۔
Ibn Abbas Jahni (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se Riwayat hai ke Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne un se Farmaya: "Ibn Abbas! Kya main tumhen na bataon?" ya kaha: "Kya main tumhen khabar na doon sab se behtar panah ki jis ke zariye panah mangne wale panah mangen?" unhon ne kaha: "Kyon nahin? Allah ke Rasool!" aap ne Farmaya: «Qul Auzu Birrabil-Falaq» aur «Qul Auzu Birrabbin-Nas» yeh dono Surah (panah mangne ke liye sab se behtar hain) .
أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَمْرٍو، عَنْ يَحْيَى، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عَابِسٍ الْجُهَنِيَّ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ لَهُ " يَا ابْنَ عَابِسٍ أَلاَ أَدُلُّكَ - أَوْ قَالَ أَلاَ أُخْبِرُكَ - بِأَفْضَلِ مَا يَتَعَوَّذُ بِهِ الْمُتَعَوِّذُونَ " . قَالَ بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ . قَالَ " { قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ } وَ { قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ } هَاتَيْنِ السُّورَتَيْنِ " .
