Sunan an-Nasa'i 982
Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that he has never prayed behind anyone whose prayer more closely resembled that of the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) than so-and-so’. (The narrator) Sulaiman said, ‘he used to make the first two rak'a of Zuhr lengthy and the last two shorter and he would make Asr shorter. In Maghrib he would recite the short Mufassal sura and in Isha the medium-length Mufassal sura and in Fajr the long Mufassal surah’.

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے کسی کے پیچھے ایسی نماز نہیں پڑھی جو فلاں ۱؎ کی نماز سے بڑھ کر رسول اللہ ﷺ کی نماز کے مشابہ ہو، سلیمان کہتے ہیں: وہ ظہر کی پہلی دو رکعتیں لمبی کرتے اور آخری دونوں رکعتیں ہلکی کرتے، اور عصر کو ہلکی کرتے، اور مغرب میں «قصارِ» مفصل پڑھتے تھے، اور عشاء میں«وساطِ» مفصل پڑھتے تھے، اور فجر میں «طوالِ» مفصل پڑھتے تھے۔
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke main ne kisi ke pichhe aisi namaz nahin padhi jo filan 1 ke namaz se barh kar Rasool Allah SALLALLAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM ki namaz ke mushaba ho, Sulaiman kehte hain: woh Zuhr ki pahli do rak'atein lambi karte aur aakhri dono rak'atein halki karte, aur Asr ko halki karte, aur Maghrib mein «Qasar-e» mufassal padhte the, aur Isha mein «Wasat-e» mufassal padhte the, aur Fajr mein «Tawal-e» mufassal padhte the.
أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ مَا صَلَّيْتُ وَرَاءَ أَحَدٍ أَشْبَهَ صَلاَةً بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ فُلاَنٍ . قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ كَانَ يُطِيلُ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ الأُولَيَيْنِ مِنَ الظُّهْرِ وَيُخَفِّفُ الأُخْرَيَيْنِ وَيُخَفِّفُ الْعَصْرَ وَيَقْرَأُ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ بِقِصَارِ الْمُفَصَّلِ وَيَقْرَأُ فِي الْعِشَاءِ بِوَسَطِ الْمُفَصَّلِ وَيَقْرَأُ فِي الصُّبْحِ بِطُوَلِ الْمُفَصَّلِ .
