Sunan an-Nasa'i 983
Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that he has never prayed behind anyone whose prayer more closely resembled that of the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) than so-and-so’. We prayed behind that person and he used to make the first two rak'a of Zuhr lengthy and the last two shorter, and he would make Asr shorter. In Maghrib he would recite the short Mufassal sura. In Isha he recited - ِ وَ ضُحَاهَاوَالشَّمْس [(I swear) by the sun and its brightness] (Sura Ash-Shams) and similar surahs, and in Fajr he recited two lengthy surah.

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے فلاں سے بڑھ کر کسی کے پیچھے رسول اللہ ﷺ کی نماز سے مشابہ نماز نہیں پڑھی ( سلیمان کہتے ہیں ) ہم نے اس شخص کے پیچھے نماز پڑھی، وہ ظہر کی پہلی دونوں رکعتیں لمبی کرتے تھے، اور آخری دونوں ( رکعتیں ) ہلکی کرتے، اور عصر بھی ہلکی کرتے، اور مغرب میں قصار مفصل پڑھتے، اور عشاء میں «والشمس وضحاها» اور اسی طرح کی سورتیں پڑھتے، اور فجر میں دو لمبی دو سورتیں پڑھتے۔
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke main ne falan se barh kar kisi ke pichhe Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki namaz se mushabah namaz nahi parhi ( Sulaiman kehte hain) hum ne is shakh ke pichhe namaz parhi woh zuhr ki pahli donon rak'atyan lambi karte the aur akhiri donon (rak'atyan) halki karte aur asr bhi halki karte aur maghrib mein qasar mufassal parhte aur isha mein «Walshams wadhuhaa» aur isi tarah ki surtein parhte aur fajr mein do lambi do surtein parhte.
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الأَشَجِّ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ مَا صَلَّيْتُ وَرَاءَ أَحَدٍ أَشْبَهَ صَلاَةً بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ فُلاَنٍ . فَصَلَّيْنَا وَرَاءَ ذَلِكَ الإِنْسَانِ وَكَانَ يُطِيلُ الأُولَيَيْنِ مِنَ الظُّهْرِ وَيُخَفِّفُ فِي الأُخْرَيَيْنِ وَيُخَفِّفُ فِي الْعَصْرِ وَيَقْرَأُ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ بِقِصَارِ الْمُفَصَّلِ وَيَقْرَأُ فِي الْعِشَاءِ بِالشَّمْسِ وَضُحَاهَا وَأَشْبَاهِهَا وَيَقْرَأُ فِي الصُّبْحِ بِسُورَتَيْنِ طَوِيلَتَيْنِ .
