Al-Mu'jam al-Saghir 1139
Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said, "The destruction of my Ummah will occur through Ta'an and pestilence." It was said, "O Messenger of Allah, we know Ta'an, but what is pestilence?" He, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, replied, "It is from the effects of your enemy Jinn, and in each one is martyrdom."

سیدنا ابوموسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”میری امّت کا فنا ہونا طعن اور طاعون سے ہو گا۔“ کہا گیا: یا رسول اللہ ﷺ ! طعن کو تو ہم جانتے ہیں، طاعون کیا ہے؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”یہ تمہارے جن دشمنوں کے اثرات ہیں اور ہر ایک میں شہادت ہے۔“
Sayyeda Abu Musa Ashari (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Meri ummat ka fana hona ta'an aur ta'oon se hoga. Kaha gaya: Ya Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)! Ta'an ko to hum jaante hain, ta'oon kya hai? Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Yeh tumhare jinn dushmanon ke asrat hain aur har ek mein shahadat hai.
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلُّوَيَةَ الْقَطَّانُ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْعَطَّارُ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلاقَةَ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الأَشْعَرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ:"فَنَاءُ أُمَّتِي بِالطَّعْنِ وَالطَّاعُونِ، قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، هَذَا الطَّعْنُ قَدْ عَرَفْنَاهُ، فَمَا الطَّاعُونُ؟، قَالَ: وَخْزُ أَعْدَائِكُمْ مِنَ الْجِنِّ، وَفِي كُلِّ شَهَادَةٍ"، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ مِسْعَرِ بْنِ كِدَامٍ، إِلا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عِيسَى
