Our master Abu Sa'eed Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates: When we returned from the Battle of Tabuk, a man asked, "O Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, when will the Day of Judgement be?" So the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "A hundred years will not pass over the people but there will not remain on the face of the earth a single soul who is alive today."

سیدنا ابوسعید رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں: جب ہم غزوۂ تبوک سے واپس آئے تو ایک آدمی نے پوچھا: یا رسول اللہ ﷺ ! قیامت کب ہوگی؟ تو آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”لوگوں پر ایک سو سال نہیں گزرے گا جبکہ زمین پر ایک بھی ذی روح موجود ہو جو کہ آج موجود ہے۔“
Sayyidna Abusaid razi Allah anhu kahte hain: Jab hum Ghazwah Tabuk se wapas aaye to ek aadmi ne poocha: Ya Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)! Qayamat kab hogi? To aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ”Logon par ek sau saal nahin guzarega jabke zameen par ek bhi zi rooh mojood ho jo ke aaj mojood hai.“
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَمُّوَيْهِ أَيْسَارٌ التُّسْتَرِيُّ الْبَزَّازُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ: لَمَّا رَجَعْنَا مِنْ تَبُوكَ سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ:"مَتَى السَّاعَةُ؟، فَقَالَ: لا يَأْتِي عَلَى النَّاسِ مِائَةُ سَنَةٍ وَعَلَى ظَهْرِ الأَرْضِ نَفْسٌ مَنْفُوسَةٌ الْيَوْمَ"، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ دَاوُدَ، إِلا ابْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ
