Hazrat Saeed (R.A) and Hazrat Hassan (R.A) narrate that Hazrat Umar (R.A) gave one year's time to the impotent man, (that) if he retains his power of intercourse within this period, well and good, otherwise separation will be effected between the husband and the wife and the waiting period (Iddat) will be obligatory on the woman.
حضرت سعید (رض) اور حضرت حسن (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت عمر (رض) نے نامرد کو ایک سال کی مہلت دی کہ اگر وہ جماع کی طاقت رکھے تو ٹھیک ورنہ میاں بیوی کے درمیان جدائی کرادی جائے گی اور عورت پر عدت لازم ہوگی۔
Hazrat Saeed (RA) aur Hazrat Hassan (RA) farmate hain keh Hazrat Umar (RA) ne namard ko aik saal ki muhlat di keh agar woh jima ki taqat rakhe to theek warna miyan biwi ke darmiyan judai karadi jayegi aur aurat par iddat lazim hogi.
Hazrat Ata (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "When one year passes after the passing of the waiting period, then the woman whose husband has passed away will observe the waiting period, regardless of whether or not the husband has issued a divorce."
حضرت عطائ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ جب مہلت کو ایک سال گزر جائے تو عورت مطلقہ والی عدت گزارے گی خواہ نامرد نے طلاق نہ دی ہو۔

Hazrat Hassan (R.A) said that when a man and his wife, who has not yet experienced menstruation, are separated, then observing the waiting period (iddah) is obligatory upon her.
حضرت حسن (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ جب نامرد اور اس کی بیوی کے درمیان جدائی کرادی جائے تو اس پر عدت لازم ہوگی۔
Hazrat Hassan (RA) farmate hain keh jab na mard aur us ki biwi ke darmiyan judai karadi jaye to us par iddat lazim hogi.
Hazrat Urwa (RA) states that if a man is impotent and separation occurs between him and his wife, then Iddah (waiting period) will be obligatory upon her.
حضرت عروہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ جب نامرد اور اس کی بیوی کے درمیان جدائی کرادی جائے تو اس پر عدت لازم ہوگی۔
