كِتَابُ الطَّلَاقِ
What did they say about the wife of an impotent man? If they are separated, does she have a waiting period?
مَا قَالُوا فِي امْرَأَةِ الْعِنِّينِ؟ إِذَا فُرِّقَ بَيْنَهُمَا عَلَيْهَا عِدَّةٌ

Hazrat Saeed (R.A) and Hazrat Hassan (R.A) narrate that Hazrat Umar (R.A) gave one year's time to the impotent man, (that) if he retains his power of intercourse within this period, well and good, otherwise separation will be effected between the husband and the wife and the waiting period (Iddat) will be obligatory on the woman.
حضرت سعید (رض) اور حضرت حسن (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت عمر (رض) نے نامرد کو ایک سال کی مہلت دی کہ اگر وہ جماع کی طاقت رکھے تو ٹھیک ورنہ میاں بیوی کے درمیان جدائی کرادی جائے گی اور عورت پر عدت لازم ہوگی۔
Hazrat Saeed (RA) aur Hazrat Hassan (RA) farmate hain keh Hazrat Umar (RA) ne namard ko aik saal ki muhlat di keh agar woh jima ki taqat rakhe to theek warna miyan biwi ke darmiyan judai karadi jayegi aur aurat par iddat lazim hogi.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ قَالَ : نا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، وَالْحَسَنِ قَالَا : « أَجَّلَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ الْعِنِّينَ سَنَةً ، فَإِنِ اسْتَطَاعَهَا وَإِلَّا فَرَّقَ بَيْنَهُمَا ، وَعَلَيْهَا الْعِدَّةُ »
