Hazrat Abu al-Hayyaj narrates that Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) appointed me as the governor of an area and ordered me to take an oath from the People of the Book (Christians and Jews).
حضرت ابو الھیاج فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت علی (رض) نے مجھے ایک علاقے کا گورنر بنایا اور مجھے حکم دیا کہ میں اہل کتاب سے اللہ کی قسم لوں۔
Hazrat Abu Alhaya farmaatay hain keh Hazrat Ali (RA) ne mujhe aik ilaqay ka governor banaya aur mujhe hukum diya keh main ehl e kitab se Allah ki qasam lun.
Hazrat Ibrahim says that even an oath from a polytheist will be taken in the name of Allah, but he will be treated with severity in matters of religion.
حضرت ابراہیم فرماتے ہیں کہ مشرک سے بھی اللہ کی قسم لی جائے گی لیکن اس سے اس کے دین میں سختی برتی جائے گی۔
Hazrat Ibrahim farmate hain ke mushrik se bhi Allah ki qasam li jaye gi lekin us se us ke deen mein sakhti barti jaye gi.
Hazrat Abu Al-Hassan narrated that once, in the presence of Hazrat Shabi, a Christian man began to swear by Allah. Upon this, Hazrat Shabi remarked, "You have abandoned your God yet you see." He then instructed that the man be taken to a church and asked to swear an oath in accordance with the customs of his religion.
حضرت ابوالغصن فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ حضرت شعبی کے سامنے ایک نصرانی اللہ کی قسم کھانے لگا تو حضرت شعبی نے فرمایا کہ تم نے اللہ کو چھوڑ دیا ہے اور دیکھتے بھی ہو پھر آپ نے حکم دیا کہ اسے گرجا کی طرف لے جاؤ اور اس سے قسم لو جو اس کے دین کے لوگ کھاتے ہیں۔
Hazrat Abu al Ghun farmate hain ki ek martaba Hazrat Shuaibi ke samne ek Nasrani Allah ki qasam khane laga to Hazrat Shuaibi ne farmaya ki tumne Allah ko chhor diya hai aur dekhte bhi ho phir aap ne hukum diya ki use girja ki taraf le jao aur us se qasam lo jo uske deen ke log khate hain.
Hazrat Ata was asked whether an oath should be taken from a Jew or a Christian by the Torah and the Gospel. He said that they should swear by Allah because the Torah and the Gospel are Allah's books.
حضرت عطاء سے سوال کیا گیا کہ کیا یہودی اور نصرانی سے توراۃ اور انجیل کی قسم لی جائے گی، انھوں نے فرمایا کہ وہ اللہ کی قسم کھائیں گے کیونکہ توراۃ اور انجیل اللہ کی کتابیں ہیں۔
Hazrat Ata se sawal kiya gaya ke kya yehudi aur nasrani se torah aur injeel ki qasam li jaye gi, unhon ne farmaya ke woh Allah ki qasam khayenge kyunke torah aur injeel Allah ki kitabe hain.
