Regarding eating from the utensils of disbelievers
فِي الْأَكْلِ فِي آنِيَةِ الْكُفَّارِ
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 24385
It was narrated from Abu Tha'labah Al-Khushani that he said: "I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, we fight in the enemy's land and we need their utensils.' He said: 'Be as independent of these utensils as you can, and if you cannot find any other utensils then wash them and eat and drink from them.'"
حضرت ابو ثعلبہ خشنی سے روایت ہے۔ وہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے عرض کیا یارسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ! ہم دشمن کی سرزمین پر جنگ کرتے ہیں تو ہمیں ان کے برتنوں کی ضرورت پڑتی ہے۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ” جس قدر ہو سکے تم ان برتنوں سے مستغنی رہو، اور اگر تم ان برتنوں کے علاوہ کوئی اور برتن نہ پاؤ تو پھر تم انہی کو دھو لو اور ان میں کھاؤ پیو۔ “
Hazrat Abu Saalba Khushni se riwayat hai. Wo kehte hain ke maine arz kiya Ya Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)! Hum dushman ki sarzameen par jang karte hain to hamein un ke bartanom ki zaroorat parti hai. Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Jis qadar ho sake tum in bartanom se mustaghni raho, aur agar tum in bartanom ke ilawa koi aur bartan na pao to phir tum unhi ko dho lo aur un mein khao piyo."
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah. He said that we were with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in the land of the polytheists, fighting jihad. And we would not hesitate to eat from the polytheists' eating vessels or drink from their drinking vessels.
حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ سے روایت ہے۔ وہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم جناب رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ہمراہ مشرکین کے علاقہ میں جہاد کرتے تھے۔ اور ہم مشرکین کے کھانے کے برتنوں میں کھانے سے اور پینے کے برتنوں میں پینے سے نہیں رکتے تھے۔
Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah se riwayat hai. Wo kehte hain ke hum Janaab Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke hamrah mushrikeen ke ilaqay mein jihad karte thay. Aur hum mushrikeen ke khanay ke bartan mein khanay se aur peenay ke bartan mein peenay se nahi rukte thay.
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Sirin that he said that the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to prevail over the polytheists and used to eat in their utensils and drink in their drinking vessels.
حضرت ابن سیرین سے روایت ہے وہ کہتے ہیں کہ جناب رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے صحابہ مشرکین پر غالب آتے تھے اور ان کے کھانے کے برتنوں میں کھاتے اور پینے کے برتنوں میں پیتے تھے۔
Hazrat Ibne Sireen se riwayat hai woh kehte hain ke janab rasool Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ke sahaba mushrikeen par ghalib aate thay aur unke khane ke bartan mein khate aur pine ke bartano mein peete thay.
It is narrated on the authority of Hadrat Abdullah bin Naji that Hadrat Huzaifa asked for water. So, a villager brought him a utensil used for drinking wine, in which there was wine. So you washed it and drank water in it.
حضرت عبداللہ بن نجی سے روایت ہے کہ حضرت حذیفہ نے پانی مانگا پس ایک دہقان ان کے پاس شراب پینے میں استعمال ہونے والا برتن لایا جس میں شراب تھی۔ تو آپ نے اس کو دھو لیا اور اس میں پانی پی لیا۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Naji se riwayat hai ki Hazrat Huzaifa ne pani manga pas ek dehqan un ke pas sharaab peene mein istemal hone wala bartan laya jis mein sharaab thi to aap ne us ko dho liya aur us mein pani pee liya
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Ibn 'Aun that he narrates about Hazrat Ibn Sireen that he used to dislike the utensils of the disbelievers. However, if the people had no other option, they should wash these utensils and then cook in them.
حضرت ابن عون، حضرت ابن سیرین کے بارے میں روایت کرتے ہیں کہ وہ کفار کے برتنوں (کے استعمال) کو ناپسند کرتے تھے۔ لیکن اگر لوگوں کو اس سے کوئی چارہ نہ ہو تو پھر ان برتنوں کو دھو لیں اور ان میں پکا لیں۔
Hazrat Ibn Aun, Hazrat Ibn Sireen ke bare mein riwayat karte hain ki woh kuffar ke bartan (ke istemal) ko napasand karte thay. Lekin agar logon ko iss se koi chara na ho to phir inn bartan ko dho len aur inn mein paka len.
It is narrated from Hazrat Hasan, he said that when you need the utensils and pots of the Magians, then wash them and cook in them.
حضرت حسن سے روایت ہے، وہ کہتے ہیں کہ جب تمہیں مجوسیوں کے برتن اور ہانڈیوں کی ضرورت پیش آئے ۔ تو تم ان کو دھو لو اور ان میں پکا لو۔
Hazrat Hassan se riwayat hai, woh kehte hain keh jab tumhein majoon ke bartan aur handiyon ki zaroorat pesh aaye . To tum un ko dho lo aur un mein paka lo.
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Umar bin Waleed bin Sha'bi, who said that I asked Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair about the pots of the Magians. He said: Wash them and cook in them.
حضرت عمر بن الولید بن شعبی سے روایت ہے، وہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضرت سعید بن جبیر سے پوچھا۔ مجوسیوں کی ہانڈیوں کے بارے میں ؟ تو انھوں نے کہا۔ تم ان کو دھو لو اور ان میں پکا لو۔
Hazrat Umar bin Al Walid bin Shaabi se riwayat hai, wo kehte hain ke maine Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair se poocha Majusiyon ki handiyon ke bare mein? To unhon ne kaha Tum in ko dho lo aur in mein paka lo.
