The foundling, to whom does his allegiance belong?

Sunain Abu Ja'la relates that I found a child during the time of Hazrat Umar. My worker mentioned this to Hazrat Umar. You summoned me and inquired. I told (you). Then, you said, "He is free. His guardianship is for you, and the expense of his milk is on us."
سُنَین ابو جمیلہ فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضرت عمر کے زمانے میں ایک بچہ پڑا ہوا پایا۔ تو میرے قاصد نے اس کا ذکر حضرت عمر سے کیا، آپ نے مجھے بلایا اور مجھ سے سوال کیا میں نے بتادیا پھر آپ نے فرمایا کہ یہ آزاد ہے اور اس کی ولاء تمہارے لیے اور اس کے دودھ پلانے کا خرچہ ہم پر ہے۔
Sunain Abu Jamila farmate hain ke maine Hazrat Umar ke zamane mein ek baccha para hua paya to mere qasid ne iska zikar Hazrat Umar se kiya aap ne mujhe bulaya aur mujhse sawal kiya maine bata diya phir aap ne farmaya ke yeh azad hai aur iski wilayat tumhare liye aur iske doodh pilane ka kharcha hum par hai
Ja'far narrates from his father, from Hazrat Ali (AS), who said that a child found in the street is free to choose. If the child wishes to establish a relationship (muwalat) with the one who found him, he may do so. And if he wishes to establish a relationship with someone else, he may do so as well.
جعفر اپنے والد کے واسطے سے حضرت علی (رض) سے روایت کرتے ہیں فرمایا کہ راستے میں پڑا ہوا بچہ آزاد ہے اگر وہ بچہ اس سے موالاۃ قائم کرنا چاہے جس نے اس کو اٹھایا ہے تو کرلے، اور اگر دوسرے سے موالاۃ کرنا چاہے تب بھی کرسکتا ہے۔
Jaafar apne walid ke wasite se Hazrat Ali (RA) se riwayat karte hain farmaya keh raste mein para hua baccha azad hai agar woh baccha uss se mawlaat qayam karna chahe jisne usko uthaya hai to karle, aur agar dusre se mawlaat karna chahe tab bhi karsakta hai.
