What Was Mentioned About Najd and What Was Transmitted from It
مَا ذُكِرَ فِي نَجْدٍ وَمَا نُقِلَ مِنْهَا
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 36865
It is narrated by Hazrat Ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent us on an expedition towards Najd. Ibn Umar narrates, "We received a lot of things as spoils of war." The narrator says, "Then our companion who was our leader gifted us one camel each." Then we came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) with those things. Then, after giving the fifth (khums) of it (as due), we got twelve camels each. So each one of us got thirteen camels, including the camel which our companion had gifted to us. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not say anything about that camel to our companion.
حضرت ابن عمر سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ہمیں نجد کی طرف ایک سریہ میں روانہ کیا۔ ابن عمر بیان کرتے ہیں۔ ہمیں (وہاں سے) بہت زیادہ چیزیں غنیمت میں ملیں۔ راوی کہتے ہیں۔ پس ہمیں ہمارے ساتھی نے جو ہم پر امیر تھا۔ ایک ایک اونٹ عطیہ میں دے دیا۔ پھر ہم رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس وہ اشیاء لے کر پہنچے۔ تو ہمیں پھر خمس کے اخراج کے بعد جو حصہ ملا وہ بارہ، بارہ اونٹ تھے۔ پس ہم میں سے ہر ایک آدمی کو اس اونٹ سمیت جو ہمارے ساتھی نے ہمیں عطیہ میں دیا تھا۔ تیرہ اونٹ ملے۔ نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ہمارے ساتھی سے اس اونٹ کے حساب پر کوئی بات نہیں کی۔
Hazrat Ibn Umar se riwayat hai keh Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne humein Najd ki taraf aik sariya mein rawana kya. Ibn Umar bayan karte hain. Humein (wahan se) bohut zyada cheezein ghanimat mein mili. Ravi kehte hain. Pas humein humare sathi ne jo hum par ameer tha. Aik aik unt ataya mein de diya. Phir hum Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke pass woh ashya le kar pohnche. To humein phir khums ke ikhraj ke baad jo hissa mila woh barah, barah unt they. Pas hum mein se har aik aadmi ko us unt samet jo humare sathi ne humein ataya mein diya tha. Terah unt mile. Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne humare sathi se us unt ke hisab par koi baat nahi ki.
It is narrated on the authority of Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent us on an expedition to Najd. So, twelve camels fell to our lot. And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) bestowed upon us one camel each.
حضرت ابن عمر سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ہمیں نجد کی طرف ایک سریہ میں روانہ فرمایا۔ تو ہمارے حصوں میں بارہ بارہ اونٹ آئے۔ اور رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ہمیں ایک ایک اونٹ عطیہ فرمایا۔
Hazrat Ibn Umar se riwayat hai keh Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne humein Najd ki taraf aik sariya mein rawana farmaya. To humare hisson mein baarah baarah unt aaye. Aur Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne humein aik aik unt ata farmaaya.
It is narrated from Hazrat Habib bin Salma that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to give one-fourth of the spoils of war as charity in the beginning, then you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to give one-third of it in the end.
حضرت حبیب بن سلمہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) آغاز میں غنیمت میں سے ایک ربع کو عطیہ کرتے تھے پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے آخر میں ایک تہائی میں سے عطیہ کرتے تھے۔
Hazrat Habib bin Salma se riwayat hai keh Rasool Allah sal Allahu alaihi wasallam aaghaz mein ghanimat mein se aik ruba ko ataa karte thay phir aap sal Allahu alaihi wasallam ne aakhir mein aik tehai mein se ataa karte thay.
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Ubadah bin Samit that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to give one-fourth in the beginning and then one-third as charity.
حضرت عبادہ بن صامت سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے آغاز میں ایک چوتھائی میں سے اور بعد میں ایک تہائی سے عطیہ دیتے تھے۔
Hazrat Ubadah bin Samit se riwayat hai keh Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne aghaz mein ek chauthai mein se aur baad mein ek tehai se ataa dete thay.
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Habib bin Maslamah that I participated with the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in (Jihad) and you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave me a gift from one third (of the spoils of war).
حضرت حبیب بن مسلمہ سے روایت ہے کہ میں نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ہمراہ (جہاد میں) شریک ہوا اور آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے مجھے (غنیمت کے) ثلث میں سے عطیہ دیا۔
Hazrat Habib bin Muslimah se riwayat hai keh mein Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke humraah (jihad mein) sharik hua aur aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne mujhe (ghanimat ke) suls mein se ataa diya.
Muhammad bin Amr narrated that Abu Salama, Yahya bin Abdur Rahman, and Abd al-Malik bin Mughirah... and I was with them too... We were discussing Anfal... Ataya... So they sent (someone) to Said bin Musayyib to ask about this matter. So (their) messenger returned and said that Said refused to tell me anything... The narrator says: Then Said sent his slave and he (came) and said, 'Said, they are telling you that you sent a messenger to me to ask about Anfal... Ataya... whereas, after the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), there is no Anfal... Ataya...'
حضرت محمد بن عمرو بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ابو سلمہ، یحییٰ بن عبد الرحمن اور عبد الملک بن مغیرہ۔۔۔ اور میں بھی ان کے ہمراہ تھا۔۔۔ آپس میں انفال ۔۔۔ عطایا ۔۔۔ کے بارے میں مذاکرہ کر رہے تھے ۔ تو انھوں نے سعید بن مسیب کی طرف یہ بات پوچھنے کے لیے بھیجا۔ تو (ان کا) قاصد واپس آیا اور اس نے کہا کہ سعید نے مجھے کچھ بھی بتانے سے انکار کردیا ہے ۔۔۔ راوی کہتے ہیں : پھر سعید نے اپنا غلام بھیجا اور اس نے (آکر) کہا۔ سعید، تمہیں کہہ رہے ہیں۔ کہ تم نے میرے پاس انفال ۔۔۔ عطایا۔۔۔ کے بارے میں پوچھنے کے لیے قاصد بھیجا تھا۔ حالانکہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے بعد انفال ۔۔۔ عطایا۔۔۔ نہیں ہیں۔
Hazrat Muhammad bin Amro bayan karte hain keh Abu Salma, Yahya bin Abdur Rehman aur Abdul Malik bin Mughirah --- aur main bhi un ke hamrah tha --- aapas mein Anfal --- Ataya --- ke bare mein muzakira kar rahe thay. To unhon ne Saeed bin Musib ki taraf yeh baat poochne ke liye bheja. To (un ka) qasid wapas aaya aur usne kaha keh Saeed ne mujhe kuchh bhi batane se inkar kardiya hai. --- Rawi kehte hain: Phir Saeed ne apna ghulam bheja aur usne (aakar) kaha. Saeed, tumhen keh rahe hain keh tumne mere paas Anfal --- Ataya --- ke bare mein poochne ke liye qasid bheja tha. Halankeh Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke baad Anfal --- Ataya --- nahin hain.
Hajjaj bin Abdullah Nasri states that the gift is rightfully his and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave him the gift.
حجاج بن عبداللہ نصری بیان کرتے ہیں کہ عطیہ برحق ہے اور رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے عطیہ عطا فرمایا۔
Hajaj bin Abdullah Nasri bayan karte hain keh Atiya barhaq hai aur Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne Atiya ata farmaya.
