It has been narrated on the authority of Hadrat Harb ibn Ubaydullah: The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The tithe (Ushr) is not upon the Muslims. Indeed, the tithe is upon the Jews and Christians."
حضرت حرب بن عبید اللہ سے مروی ہے حضور اقدس (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : عشر مسلمانوں پر نہیں ہے۔ بیشک عشر تو یہود و نصاریٰ پر ہے۔
Hazrat Harb bin Ubaidullah se marvi hai Huzoor Aqdas (SAW) ne irshad farmaya : Ushr musalmanon par nahi hai. Beshak ushr to yahood o nasara par hai.
Hazrat Saeed bin Zaid narrates that I heard the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: O people of Arab! Praise and glorify Allah that He has abolished Ushr from you.
حضرت سعید بن زید فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضور اکرم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ : اے معشر عربٖ اللہ کی تعریف اور حمد بیان کرو کہ اس نے تم پر سے عشر اٹھا لیا ہے۔
Hazrat Saeed bin Zaid farmate hain ke maine Huzoor Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko ye farmate hue suna ke: Aye mashaer Arab Allah ki tareef aur hamd bayan karo ke usne tum par se ushr utha liya hai.
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "One land cannot have two Qiblas and Jizya is not imposed on a Muslim."
حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس سے مروی ہے حضور اقدس (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا ایک زمین دو قبلوں کی صلاحیت نہیں رکھتی اور مسلمان پر جزیہ نہیں ہے۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas se marvi hai Huzoor Aqdas (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne irshad farmaya aik zameen do qiblon ki salahiyat nahi rakhti aur Musalman par jizya nahi hai.
Ziyad bin Hadeer narrated that Hazrat Umar Farooq sent me to the villagers and forbade me from collecting 'Ushr' from the Muslims or 'Jizya' from the non-Muslims who pay tribute.
حضرت زیاد بن حدیر فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت عمر فاروق نے مجھے گاؤں والوں کی طرف بھیجا اور مجھے منع فرمایا کہ میں مسلمانوں سے عشر وصول کروں یا ذمیوں سے جو خراج ادا کرتے ہیں۔
Hazrat Ziyad bin Hadeer farmate hain keh Hazrat Umar Farooq ne mujhe gaon walon ki taraf bheja aur mujhe mana farmaya keh main musalmanon se ushr wasool karoon ya zimmiyon se jo kharaj ada karte hain.
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Usman bin Abu al-A'as that the delegation of Thaqif came to the service of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and they made a condition (for accepting Islam) that no tax, tithe, or tribute should be levied on us. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "No tax will be levied on you, no tithe will be levied on you, and no one else will be made your ruler."
حضرت عثمان بن ابو العاص سے مروی ہے کہ ثقیف کا وفد حضور اکرم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور انھوں نے (اسلام لانے کیلئے) شرط لگائی کہ ہم سے ٹیکس، عشر اور خراج نہ وصول کیا جائے۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : تم سے ٹیکس (محصل) وصول نہیں کیا جائے گا، تم سے عشر نہیں وصول کیا جائے گا اور نہ ہی تم پر کسی غیر کو حاکم بنایا جائے گا۔
Hazrat Usman bin Abu al Aas se marvi hai keh Thaqif ka wafad Huzoor Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki khidmat mein hazir hua aur unhon ne (Islam laane ke liye) shart lagai keh hum se tax, ushr aur kharaj na wasool kiya jaye. Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya : Tum se tax (muhasil) wasool nahi kiya jayega, tum se ushr nahi wasool kiya jayega aur na hi tum par kisi ghair ko hakim banaya jayega.
