كِتَابُ الصَّيْدِ
Who said: If the blood flows, eat anything except teeth or bones
مَنْ قَالَ: إِذَا أَنْهَرَ الدَّمَ فَكُلْ مَا خَلَا سِنًّا أَوْ عَظْمًا
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 19805
Ja'far ibn Maymun said that every tool that lets out blood and cuts the veins, an animal slaughtered with it is lawful. However, the predecessors considered slaughtering with teeth and nails as abominable and called them the knives of the Ethiopians.
حضرت جعفر بن میمون فرماتے ہیں کہ ہر وہ چیز جو خون بہائے اور رگیں کاٹ دے اس سے ذبح کردہ جانور حلال ہے۔ البتہ اسلاف دانت اور ناخن سے ذبح کرنے کو مکروہ سمجھتے اور انھیں حبشہ والوں کی چھری قرار دیتے تھے۔
Hazrat Jaffar bin Maymoon farmate hain keh har woh cheez jo khoon bahaye aur ragein kaat de us se zibah karda janwar halal hai. Albatta aslaaf daant aur nakhun se zibah karne ko makruh samajhte aur unhen habasha walon ki chhuri qarar dete thay.
حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ الرَّقِّيُّ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ قَالَ : " كُلُّ مَا أَفْرَى اللَّحْمَ ، وَقَطَعَ الْأَوْدَاجَ إِلَا أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يَكْرَهُونَ السِّنَّ وَالظُّفُرَ ، وَيَقُولُونَ : إِنَّهُمَا مُدَى الْحَبَشَةِ "
