كِتَابُ الصَّيْدِ

What did they say about a dog eating from its prey
‌مَا قَالُوا فِي الْكَلْبِ يَأْكُلُ مِنْ صَيْدِهِ

Who permitted eating it and who ate it
‌مَنْ رَخَّصَ فِي أَكْلِهِ وَأَكَلَهُ

A dog is sent after its prey, then another dog pursues it
‌الْكَلْبُ يُرْسَلُ عَلَى صَيْدِهِ فَيَتَعَقَّبُهُ غَيْرُهُ

If he sends it and forgets to say 'In the name of Allah'
‌إِذَا أَرْسَلَهُ وَنَسِيَ أَنْ يُسَمِي اللَّهَ

If he forgets to say 'In the name of Allah', then says it before killing
‌إِذَا نَسِيَ أَنْ يُسَمِّيَ، ثُمَّ سَمَّى قَبْلَ أَنْ يَقْتُلَ

A man sends his dog after prey and it catches another
‌الرَّجُلُ يُرْسِلُ كَلْبَهُ عَلَى صَيْدٍ فَيَأْخُذُ غَيْرَهُ

On hunting by the dog of a polytheist, Magian, Jew, or Christian
‌فِي صَيْدِ كَلْبِ الْمُشْرِكَ وَالْمَجُوسِيِّ، وَالْيَهُودِيِّ، وَالنَّصْرَانِيِّ

A man catches prey and it has some life left in it; what did they say about that, and what has been mentioned about it
‌الرَّجُلُ يَأْخُذُ الصَّيْدَ وَبِهِ رَمَقٌ، مَا قَالُوا فِي ذَلِكَ، وَمَا جَاءَ فِيهِ

A man sends his dog, says 'In the name of Allah', but does not see the prey
‌الرَّجُلُ يُرْسِلُ الْكَلْبَ، وَيُسَمِي وَلَمْ يَرَ صَيْدًا

What should a man say if he sends his dog
‌مَا يَدْعُو بِهِ الرَّجُلُ إِنْ أَرْسَلَ كَلْبَهُ

A dog drinks from the blood of the prey
‌الْكَلْبُ يَشْرَبُ مِنْ دَمِ الصَّيْدِ

On hunting with a falcon, who did not see any harm in it
‌فِي صَيْدِ الْبَازِيِّ، مَنْ لَمْ يَرَ بِهِ بَأْسًا

A falcon eats from its prey
‌الْبَازِيُّ يَأْكُلُ مِنْ صَيْدِهِ

On the hunting of fish by a Magian
‌فِي صَيْدِ الْمَجُوسِيِّ السَّمَكَ

Who disliked hunting by a Magian
‌مَنْ كَرِهَ صَيْدَ الْمَجُوسِيِّ

A man shoots prey and it goes out of sight, then he finds his arrow in it
‌الرَّجُلُ يَرْمِي الصَّيْدَ وَيَغِيبُ عَنْهُ ثُمُ يَجِدُ سَهْمَهُ فِيهِ

If he shoots prey and it falls into the water
‌إِذَا رَمَى صَيْدًا فَوَقَعَ فِي الْمَاءِ

On a man hitting prey and a limb is severed from it
‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يَضْرِبُ الصَّيْدَ فَيَبِينُ مِنْهُ الْعُضْوَ

Sickles are set up and cut
‌الْمَنَاجِلُ تُنْصَبُ فَتَقْطَعُ

On the use of a blunt arrow
‌فِي الْمِعْرَاضِ

On using a pellet or stone to kill prey, what did they say about it
‌فِي الْبُنْدُقَةِ وَالْحَجَرِ يُرْمَى بِهِ فَيَقْتُلُ، مَا قَالُوا فِي ذَلِكَ

On hunting locusts and whales, and their slaughtering
‌فِي صَيْدِ الْجَرَادِ وَالْحُوتِ، وَمَا ذَكَاتُهُ

‌فِي الطَّافِي

‌مَنْ رَخَّصَ فِي الطَّافِي مِنَ السَّمَكِ

What is thrown into the sea and the water recedes from it
‌مَا قُذِفَ بِهِ فِي الْبَحْرِ، وَجَزَرَ عَنْهُ الْمَاءُ

His saying: ‘As provision for you and for travelers’
‌قَوْلُهُ ﴿مَتَاعًا لَكُمْ وَلِلسَّيَّارَةِ﴾ [

‌الْحِيتَانِ يَقْتُلُ بَعْضُهَا بَعْضًا

‌بَابُ الرَّجُلُ يَطْعَنُ الصَّيْدَ طَعْنًا

‌فِي صَيْدِ الْكَلْبِ الْبَهِيمِ

What did they say about domesticated animals turning wild from camels and cattle
‌مَا قَالُوا فِي الْإِنْسِيَّةِ تَوَحَّشُ مِنَ الْإِبِلِ وَالْبَقَرِ

‌السَّمَكُ يُحْظَرُ لَهُ الْحَظِيرَةَ

Who said: If the blood flows, eat anything except teeth or bones
‌مَنْ قَالَ: إِذَا أَنْهَرَ الدَّمَ فَكُلْ مَا خَلَا سِنًّا أَوْ عَظْمًا

Who said: Slaughtering can be done in areas other than the throat and neck
‌مَنْ قَالَ: تَكُونُ الذَّكَاةُ فِي غَيْرِ الْحَلْقِ وَاللَّبَّةِ

On slaughtering, if something moves from it, then eat
‌فِي الذَّكَاةِ إِذَا تَحَرَّكَ مِنْهَا شَيْءٌ فَكُلْ

On beating an animal to death, which is forbidden
‌فِي الْمُجَثَّمَةِ وَالَّتِي نُهِيَ عَنْهَا

‌مَا قَالُوا فِي الطَّيْرِ وَالشَّاةِ يُرْمَى حَتَّى يَمُوتَ
