كِتَابُ الْبُيُوعِ وَالْأَقْضِيَةِ
Who permitted eating fruit when passing by it
مَنْ رَخَّصَ فِي أَكْلِ الثَّمَرَةِ إِذَا مَرَّ بِهَا

Hazrat Jundub Bajli says that we used to participate in Jihad with the companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). What they used to do, we also used to do. We used to eat fruits and hire slaves for the journey who would take us from one village to another. However, we did not join them in their homes.
حضرت جندب بجلی کہتے ہیں کہ ہم رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے اصحاب (رض) کے ساتھ جہاد کرتے تھے، جو وہ کرتے تھے وہ ہم بھی کیا کرتے تھے، ہم پھل کھاتے تھے اور راستہ کے لیے غلام کرایہ پر لیتے تھے جو ہمیں ایک گاؤں سے دوسرے گاؤں تک پہنچاتا البتہ ہم ان کے ساتھ ان کے گھروں میں شریک نہیں ہوتے۔
Hazrat Jundub Bijli kahte hain ke hum Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke Ashab (RA) ke sath jihad karte the, jo wo karte the wo hum bhi kya karte the, hum phal khate the aur rasta ke liye ghulam kiraya par lete the jo humein ek gaon se dusre gaon tak pahunchataalbatta hum un ke sath un ke gharon mein sharik nahin hote.
وَكِيعٌ قَالَ : نَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ جُنْدُبَ الْبَجَلِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : « كُنَّا نَغْزُو مَعَ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَنَحْنُ نَفْعَلُ كَمَا يَفْعَلُونَ فَنَأْخُذُ مِنَ الثَّمَرَةِ ، وَنَأْخُذُ الْعِلَجَ ، فَيَدُلُّنَا مِنَ الْقَرْيَةِ إِلَى الْقَرْيَةِ ، مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ نُشَارِكَهُمْ فِي بُيُوتِهِمْ »
