كِتَابُ الْبُيُوعِ وَالْأَقْضِيَةِ
On a man bargaining with another man for something he does not possess
فِي الرَّجُلِ يُسَاوِمُ الرَّجُلَ بِالشَّيْءِ وَلَا يَكُونُ عِنْدَهُ
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 20500
Hazrat Abu Razeen narrates that a man came to me and said that he needs ghee and oil, I don't have these things, can I deal with him and get it? He said no, buy these things and keep them with you, then when he comes, sell it to him.
حضرت ابو رزین کہتے ہیں کہ ایک آدمی میرے پاس آتا ہے اور مجھ سے کہتا ہے کہ مجھے گھی اور تیل چاہیے، یہ چیزیں میرے پاس نہیں ہوتیں، کیا میں اس سے معاملہ کرکے منگوا سکتا ہوں ؟ انھوں نے فرمایا نہیں، ان چیزوں کو خرید کر اپنے پاس رکھو، پھر جب وہ آئے تو اسے بیچ دو ۔
Hazrat Abu Razeen kehte hain keh ek aadmi mere pass ata hai aur mujh se kehta hai keh mujhe ghee aur tail chahiye, yeh cheezain mere pass nahin hoti, kya main is se muamla karke mangwa sakta hoon? Unhon ne farmaya nahin, in cheezon ko khareed kar apne pass rakho, phir jab woh aaye to use bech do.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا ، عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَزِينٍ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِمَسْرُوقٍ : يَأْتِينِي الرَّجُلُ يَطْلُبُ مِنِّي السَّمْنَ وَلَيْسَ عِنْدِي ، أَشْتَرِيهِ ثُمَّ أَدْعُوهُ لَهُ ؟ قَالَ : « لَا ، وَلَكِنِ اشْتَرِهِ فَضَعْهُ عِنْدَكَ ، فَإِذَا جَاءَكَ فَبِعْهُ مِنْهُ »
