كِتَابُ الْبُيُوعِ وَالْأَقْضِيَةِ On a man buying goods from another man and saying: You are free of responsibility
فِي الرَّجُلِ يَشْتَرِي مِنَ الرَّجُلِ السِّلْعَةَ وَيَقُولُ: قَدْ بَرِئَتْ إِلَيْكَ

Hazrat Shabi (may Allah be pleased with him) says that a person will be considered evil just by being named, even if he does not engage in any evil deeds.
حضرت شعبی (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ صرف نام لینے سے بھی وہ بری ہوجائے گا، اگرچہ عیوب پر ہاتھ نہ بھی رکھے۔
Hazrat Shabi (RA) farmate hain keh sirf naam lene se bhi woh buri hojaye ga, agarche uyoob per hath na bhi rakhe.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْأَزْرَقِ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، قَالَ : « إِنْ سَمَّى بَرِئَ ، وَإِنْ لَمْ يَضَعْ يَدَهُ عَلَى الْعَيْبِ »
