كِتَابُ الْبُيُوعِ وَالْأَقْضِيَةِ
If a man frees part of his slave while he is ill.
إِذَا أَعْتَقَ بَعْضَ عَبْدِهِ فِي مَرَضِهِ

Hazrat Ibrahim (R.A) said that if a person in his last illness frees some of his slaves, then all the slaves will be considered free. If the price of the slave is more than one-third of the property, then the slave will try to pay for the amount that exceeds one-third of the property.
حضرت ابراہیم (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ اگر کوئی شخص مرض الوفات میں اپنا بعض غلام آزاد کردے ، تو پورا غلام آزاد شمار ہوگا، اگر غلام کی قیمت ثلث مال سے زائد ہو تو ثلث مال سے جتنا زیادہ ہے اس کے لیے غلام کوشش کرے گا۔
Hazrat Ibrahim (RA) farmate hain keh agar koi shakhs marz ul wafat mein apna baaz gulam azad karde, tou poora gulam azad shumar hoga, agar gulam ki qeemat suls maal se ziada ho tou suls maal se jitna ziada hai uske liye gulam koshish karega.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : « إِذَا أَعْتَقَ بَعْضَ عَبْدِهِ فِي مَرَضِهِ عَتَقَ كُلُّهُ ، فَإِنْ أَكْثَرَ مِنَ الثُّلُثِ يَسْعَى فِيمَا بَقِيَ مِنَ الثُّلُثِ »
