Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 25089
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Abu Umamah that Hazrat Umar bin Khattab wore a new cloth, he said: All praise is due to Allah Who has clothed me with that which I cover my nakedness with and by which I adorn myself in my life." Then he said: "I heard the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: 'Whoever wears a new garment and says: 'All praise is due to Allah Who has clothed me with that which I cover my nakedness with and by which I adorn myself in my life,' then he takes off his old garment and gives it in charity, then this person will be in the mercy, protection and veil of Allah. In life and even after death." He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said this thrice.
حضرت ابو امامہ سے روایت ہے۔ وہ کہتے ہیں کہ حضرت عمر بن خطاب نے ایک نیا کپڑا پہنا، تو فرمایا : تمام تعریفیں اس اللہ کے لیے ہیں جس نے مجھے وہ کپڑا پہنایا جس کے ذریعہ میں اپنے ستر کو چھپاتا ہوں اور جس کے ذریعہ میں اپنی زندگی میں جمال حاصل کرتا ہوں۔ پھر آپ نے فرمایا : میں نے جناب نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو کہتے سُنا : ” جو شخص نیا کپڑا پہنے اور یہ کہے : الْحَمْدُ لِلَّہِ الَّذِی کَسَانِی مَا أُوَارِی بِہِ عَوْرَتِی ، وَأُجَمِّلُ بِہِ فِی حَیَاتِی ، پھر وہ اپنے پرانے، اتارے ہوئے کپڑے کو لے اور اس کو صدقہ کر دے تو یہ شخص اللہ کی رحمت ، حفاظت اور پردہ میں رہے گا ۔ زندگی میں بی اور موت کے بعد بھی “ یہ بات آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے تین مرتبہ کہی۔
Hazrat Abu Umama se riwayat hai. Woh kehte hain ke Hazrat Umar bin Khattab ne ek naya kapra pehna, to farmaya: Tamam tareefain iss Allah ke liye hain jisne mujhe woh kapra pehnaya jiske zariye main apne satar ko chhupata hun aur jiske zariye main apni zindagi mein jamal hasil karta hun. Phir aap ne farmaya: Main ne Janaab Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko kehte suna: "Jo shakhs naya kapra pehne aur yeh kahe: Alhamdulillahillazi Kasani Ma Aowari Bihi A’urati, Wa Aj’ammilu Bihi Fi Hayati, phir woh apne purane, utaare hue kapre ko le aur iss ko sadqa kar de to yeh shakhs Allah ki rehmat, hifazat aur parda mein rahega. Zindagi mein bhi aur mout ke baad bhi." Yeh baat aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne teen martaba kahi.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَصْبَغُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَلَاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ ، قَالَ : لَبِسَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ثَوْبًا جَدِيدًا ، فَقَالَ : الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي كَسَانِي مَا أُوَارِي بِهِ عَوْرَتِي ، وَأَتَجَمَّلُ بِهِ فِي حَيَاتِي "، ثُمَّ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ لَبِسَ ثَوْبًا جَدِيدًا فَقَالَ : " الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي كَسَانِي مَا أُوَارِي بِهِ عَوْرَتِي ، وَأُجَمِّلُ بِهِ فِي حَيَاتِي ، ثُمَّ عَمَدَ إِلَى الثَّوْبِ الَّذِي أَخْلَقَ أَوْ قَالَ : أُلْقِيَ ، فَتَصَدَّقَ بِهِ كَانَ فِي كَنَفِ اللَّهِ ، وَفِي حِفْظِ اللَّهِ ، وَفِي سَتْرِ اللَّهِ حَيًّا ، وَمَيِّتًا قَالَهَا : ثَلَاثًا "
