Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 26058
Abu Salma narrated that the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) were not stingy, nor were they weak in performing acts of worship. They used to recite poetry in their gatherings and mention the events of the pre-Islamic period. And when any one of them intended to attack the religion of one of them, the inside of their stomachs would churn as if that person were insane.
حضرت ابو سلمہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے صحابہ بخل کرنے والے نہیں تھے اور نہ ہی عبادت کی ادائیگیوں میں کمزوری دکھانے والے تھے۔ وہ اپنی مجلسوں میں اشعار پڑھا کرتے تھے، اور زمانہ جاہلیت کے واقعات ذکر کرتے تھے۔ اور جب ان میں سے کسی کے دین کو نشانہ بنانے کا ارادہ کیا جاتا تو ان کے پیٹوں کا اندرونی حصہ ایسے گھومتا تھا گویا کہ وہ شخص مجنون ہو۔
Hazrat Abu Salma farmate hain keh Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke sahaba bakhil karne wale nahi thay aur na hi ibadat ki adayigion mein kamzori dikhane wale thay. Woh apni majlison mein ashaar parha karte thay, aur zamana jahiliyat ke waqiat zikar karte thay. Aur jab in mein se kisi ke deen ko nishana banane ka irada kiya jata toh un ke peton ka andaruni hissa aise ghoomta tha goya keh woh shakhs majnoon ho.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ جُمَيْعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : « لَمْ يَكُنْ أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مُنْحَرِفِينَ وَلَا مُتَمَاوِتِينَ ، وَكَانُوا يَتَنَاشَدُونَ الشِّعْرَ فِي مَجَالِسِهِمْ ، وَيَذْكُرُونَ أَمْرَ جَاهِلِيَّتِهِمْ ، فَإِذَا أُرِيدَ أَحَدُهُمْ عَلَى شَيْءٍ مِنْ دِينِهِ دَارَتْ حَمَالِيقُ عَيْنَيْهِ كَأَنَّهُ مَجْنُونٌ »
