كِتَابُ الدُّعَاءِ
What a man should supplicate when he is frightened during the night.
الرَّجُلُ إِذَا فَزِعَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ مَا يَدْعُو بِهِ

Hazrat Muhammad bin Yahya bin Habban narrated that Hazrat Walid bin Mughira complained to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about the thoughts that came to his mind. You (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to him: When you come to your bed, recite these words: I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His wrath and His grip, and from the evil of His servants, and from the whispers of Satan, that they may not come near me. By the One in whose grip of power is my soul, nothing will harm you until you reach the morning.
حضرت محمد بن یحییٰ بن حبان فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت ولید بن مغیرہ نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے دل میں آنے والے خیالات کی شکایت کی۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ان سے ارشاد فرمایا : جب تو اپنے بستر میں آئے تو یہ کلمات پڑھ ، میں پناہ مانگتا ہوں اللہ کے مکمل کلمات کے ساتھ، اس کے غصہ اور اس کی پکڑ سے اور اس کے بندوں کے شر سے، اور شیطان کے وسوسوں سے کہ وہ میرے پاس حاضر ہوں پس قسم ہے اس ذات کی جس کے قبضہ قدرت میں میری جان ہے تجھے کوئی بھی چیز نقصان نہیں پہنچا سکے گی یہاں تک کہ تو صبح کرلے گا۔
Hazrat Muhammad bin Yahya bin Haban farmate hain keh Hazrat Waleed bin Mugerah ne Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) se dil mein aane wale khayalaat ki shikayat ki Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne unse irshad farmaya Jab tu apne bistar mein aaye to yeh kalmaat parh main panah mangta hun Allah ke mukammal kalmaat ke sath uske ghusse aur uski pakar se aur uske bandon ke shar se aur shaitan ke waswason se keh woh mere pass hazir hon pas qasam hai is zaat ki jis ke qabza qudrat mein meri jaan hai tujhe koi bhi cheez nuqsan nahin pahuncha sakegi yahan tak keh tu subah karle ga
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ : أَنَّ الْوَلِيدَ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ الْمَخْزُومِيَّ ، شَكَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ حَدِيثَ نَفْسٍ وَجَدَهُ ، وَأَنَّهُ قَالَ لَهُ : " إِذَا أَتَيْتَ إِلَى فِرَاشِكَ فَقُلْ : أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ غَضَبِهِ وَعِقَابِهِ وَشَرِّ عِبَادِهِ وَمِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ ، وَأَنْ يَحْضُرُونِ فُوالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَا يَضُرُّكَ شَيْءٌ حَتَّى تُصْبِحَ "
