Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 30622
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Hasan that Hazrat Zubair bin Awam (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that this verse: {And fear a trial which will not afflict exclusively those who have wronged among you} (11:158). was revealed, and we do not know who would be involved in this trial. The narrator says that upon this some people said: Abu Abdullah, why did you then come to Basrah? He said: May you perish; we clearly see (the evil consequences) but we are unable to exercise restraint.
حضرت حسن حضرت زبیر بن عوام (رض) سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ { وَاتَّقُوا فِتْنَۃً لاَ تُصِیبَنَّ الَّذِینَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْکُمْ خَاصَّۃً } نازل ہوئی اور ہم یہ نہیں جانتے کہ اس فتنے کا پیچھا کون کرے ؟ راوی کہتے ہیں کہ اس پر بعض لوگوں نے کہا کہ اے ابو عبداللہ ! پھر آپ بصرہ کیوں آگئے ؟ آپ نے فرمایا تیرا ناس ہو ہم خوب دیکھتے ہیں لیکن ہم صبر نہیں کر پاتے۔
Hazrat Hassan Hazrat Zubair bin Awam (RA) se riwayat karte hain keh { wa attaqu fitnatan la tusi banal lazeena zalamu minkum khasatan } nazil hui aur hum ye nahin jante keh is fitne ka peecha kaun kare? Ravi kehte hain keh is par baaz logon ne kaha keh aye Abu Abdullah! Phir aap Basra kyun aaye? Aap ne farmaya tera nas ho hum khoob dekhte hain lekin hum sabar nahin kar pate.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ فِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ : ﴿ وَاتَّقُوا فِتْنَةً لَا تُصِيبَنَّ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْكُمْ ﴾ [ الأنفال : ٢٥ ] قَالَ : لَقَدْ نَزَلَتْ وَلَا نَدْرِي مَنْ يُخْلَفُ لَهَا " ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ : يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فَلِمَ جِئْتَ إِلَى الْبَصْرَةِ ؟ قَالَ : « وَيْحَكَ إِنَّا نُبْصِرُ وَلَكِنَّا لَا نَصْبِرُ »
