كِتَابُ الْفَرَائِضِ
Regarding the grandfather, what is his right, and what came regarding him from the Prophet ﷺ and others.
فِي الْجَدِّ مَا لَهُ وَمَا جَاءَ فِيهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَغَيْرِهِ

Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 31215
Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: Who knows what the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said regarding the grandfather? Muadh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave this decision regarding us. He asked, "What decision did he give?" He replied, "One-sixth of the wealth." He asked, "In the presence of which relatives?" He said, "I do not know." He said, "If you do not know anything, then what is the benefit of knowing this?"
حسن (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت عمر (رض) نے پوچھا : کون جانتا ہے کہ دادا کے بارے میں نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے کیا ارشاد فرمایا ؟ حضرت معقل بن یسار (رض) نے عرض کی کہ ہمارے بارے میں رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے یہ فیصلہ فرمایا تھا، آپ نے پوچھا، کیا فیصلہ فرمایا تھا ؟ انھوں نے جواب دیا کہ مال کے چھٹے حصّے کا، آپ نے پوچھا : کن رشتہ داروں کی موجودگی میں ؟ انھوں نے فرمایا کہ مجھے معلوم نہیں، آپ نے فرمایا : تجھے کچھ معلوم نہ ہو ، بھلا پھر اس بات کے معلوم ہونے کا کیا فائدہ ہے۔
Hasan (RA) farmate hain ke Hazrat Umar (RA) ne poocha: Kaun janta hai ke dada ke bare mein Nabi Kareem (SAW) ne kya irshad farmaya? Hazrat Maqal bin Yasar (RA) ne arz ki ke hamare bare mein Rasul Allah (SAW) ne ye faisla farmaya tha, aap ne poocha, kya faisla farmaya tha? Unhon ne jawab diya ke maal ke chate hisse ka, aap ne poocha: Kin rishtedaron ki mojoodgi mein? Unhon ne farmaya ke mujhe maloom nahin, aap ne farmaya: Tujhe kuch maloom na ho, bhala phir is baat ke maloom hone ka kya faidah hai.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ قَضِيَّةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي الْجَدِّ ؟ فَقَالَ مَعْقِلُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ الْمُزَنِيِّ : فِيمَا قَضَى بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ : « السُّدُسُ »، قَالَ : مَعَ مَنْ ؟ قَالَ : لَا أَدْرِي ، قَالَ : لَا دَرَيْتُ ، فَمَا تَعْنِي إِذًا ؟
