Regarding grandmothers, how much do they inherit

‌فِي الْجَدَّاتِ كَمْ تَرِثُ مِنْهُنَّ

Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 31291

Shabi states that if four grandmothers of equal degree come to them, then they made three grandmothers heirs and deprived the maternal grandmother.

شعبی فرماتے ہیں کہ ان کے پاس چار برابر درجے کی دادیاں آئیں تو انھوں نے تین دادیوں کو وارث بنادیا اور ماں کی دادی کو محروم فرما دیا۔

Shabi farmate hain ke un ke pas chaar barabar darje ki dadian aayin to unhon ne teen dadion ko waris banadiya aur maan ki dadi ko mehroom farma diya.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنِ الْأَشْعَثِ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، قَالَ : جَاءَتْ أَرْبَعُ جَدَّاتٍ يَتَسَاوَقْنَ إِلَى مَسْرُوقٍ فَوَرَّثَ ثَلَاثًا وَطَرَحَ وَاحِدَةً أُمَّ أَبِي الْأُمِّ "
