كِتَابُ الْسير
What they said about the fairness of the ruler in distribution, whether small or large amounts.
مَا قَالُوا فِي عَدْلِ الْوَالِي وَقَسْمِهِ قَلِيلًا كَانَ أَوْ كَثِيرًا
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 32916
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) bought two camels and left them among the camels of charity, so they both became very beautiful and large. And they both became very well. The narrator says: Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) saw these camels and found their condition strange and asked: Whose camels are these? People replied: Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). You (may Allah be pleased with you) said: Sell both of them and take your original amount. And return the excess amount to the treasury.
حضرت نبی ح (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر (رض) نے دو اونٹ خریدے اور ان کو صدقہ کے اونٹوں میں چھوڑ دیا پس وہ دونوں خوب صحت مند اور بڑے ہوگئے۔ اور ان دونوں کی حالت بہت اچھی ہوگئی۔ راوی کہتے ہیں : حضرت عمر (رض) نے ان اونٹوں کو دیکھا تو ان کی حالت کو عجیب سمجھا اور پوچھا : یہ دونوں کس کے اونٹ ہیں ؟ لوگوں نے جواب دیا : حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر (رض) کے۔ آپ (رض) نے فرمایا : ان دونوں کو فروخت کرو اور تم اپنی اصل رقم لے لو۔ اور جو زائد رقم ہے وہ بیت المال میں لوٹا دو ۔
Hazrat Nabi H (RA) farmate hain keh Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (RA) ne do unt khareeday aur un ko sadqah ke unton mein chhor diya pas wo donon khoob sehat mand aur baray hogaye. Aur un donon ki halat bohat achhi hogayi. Ravi kehte hain : Hazrat Umar (RA) ne un unton ko dekha to un ki halat ko ajeeb samjha aur poocha : Ye donon kis ke unt hain? Logon ne jawab diya : Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (RA) ke. Aap (RA) ne farmaya : In donon ko farokht karo aur tum apni asal raqam le lo. Aur jo zaid raqam hai wo bait ul mal mein luta do.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ نُبَيْحٍ قَالَ : « اشْتَرَى ابْنُ عُمَرَ بَعِيرَيْنِ فَأَلْقَاهُمَا فِي إِبِلِ الصَّدَقَةِ فَسَمِنَا وَعَظُمَا ، وَحَسُنَتْ هَيْئَتُهُمَا » قَالَ : فَرَآهُمَا عُمَرُ فَأَنْكَرَ هَيْئَتَهُمَا فَقَالَ : « لِمَنْ هَذَانِ ؟» قَالُوا : لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ فَقَالَ : « بِعْهُمَا وَخُذْ رَأْسَ مَالِكِ ، وَرُدَّ الْفَضْلَ فِي بَيْتِ الْمَالِ »
