كِتَابُ الْسير
Regarding the cavalry, how much they should be given. Some said three shares.
فِي الْفَارِسِ كَمْ يُقْسَمُ لَهُ؟ مَنْ قَالَ: ثَلَاثَةَ أَسْهُمٍ
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 33178
It is narrated from Hazrat Hassan and Hazrat Ibn Sireen (may Allah be pleased with them) that when the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) would achieve victory in Jihad and acquire spoils of war, then at the time of distribution of the spoils, a horseman would receive three shares - two for his horse and one for himself, while a foot soldier would receive one share.
حضرت حسن اور حضرت ابن سیرین (رض) سے مروی ہے کہ صحابہ کرام (رض) جب جہاد میں فتح یاب ہوتے اور مال غنیمت ہاتھ آتا تو تقسیم غنیمت کے وقت گھوڑ سوار کو تین حصے ملتے، دو اس کے گھوڑے کے اور ایک حصہ اس کا، اور پیادہ کو ایک حصہ ملتا۔
Hazrat Hassan aur Hazrat Ibn Sireen (RA) se marvi hai ke Sahaba Kiram (RA) jab jihad mein fatah yaab hote aur maal ghanimat hath aata to taqsim ghanimat ke waqt ghor sawar ko teen hisse milte, do us ke ghore ke aur ek hissa us ka, aur paidal ko ek hissa milta.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ سَوَّارٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، وَابْنِ سِيرِينَ قَالَا : كَانُوا " إِذَا غَزَوْا فَأَصَابُوا الْغَنَائِمَ ، قَسَمُوا لِلْفَارِسِ مِنَ الْغَنِيمَةِ حِينَ تُقْسَمُ ثَلَاثَةَ أَسْهُمٍ : سَهْمَيْنِ لِفَرَسِهِ ، وَسَهْمًا لَهُ ، وَلِلرَّاجِلِ سَهْمًا "
