On how the spoils of war are divided
فِي الْغَنِيمَةِ كَيْفَ تُقْسَمُ

Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said about the spoils of war, "One-fifth of the spoils of war belongs to Allah, and there is a share for the Prophet of Allah, and there is Safi for the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in the spoils of war." (Safi is the special share that the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would set aside for himself before distributing the spoils of war) Ibn Sirin (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "The best captive was set aside for the Prophet of Allah from the spoils of war, then one-fifth was taken out, then the share of the people, whether present or absent, was taken out." Ibn Sirin said, "On the day of Khaybar, the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) took Safiyyah bint Huyayy as Safi." And Sha'bi said, "On the day of Khaybar, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) took Safiyyah bint Huyayy as Safi and then married her."
حضرت محمد غنیمت کے بارے میں فرماتے ہیں کہ غنیمت میں خمس اللہ کے لیے ہے، اور اللہ کے نبی کا حصہ ہے اور غنیمت میں اللہ کے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے لیے صفی ہے۔ (صفی وہ خاص حصہ جس کو اللہ کے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) تقسیم غنیمت سے قبل ہی اپنے لیے الگ فرما لیں) حضرت ابن سیرین (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ اللہ کے نبی کے لیے غنیمت میں بہترین قیدی کو الگ کیا گیا، پھر خمس نکالا گیا، پھر لوگوں کے حصہ میں سے خواہ وہ حاضر ہو یا غائب حصہ نکالا گیا۔ حضرت ابن سیرین فرماتے ہیں کہ خیبر کے دن اللہ کے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے حضرت صفیہ بنت حیی کو بطور صفی الگ فرما لیا تھا۔ اور حضرت شعبی فرماتے ہیں کہ خیبر والے دن آنحضرت (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے حضرت صفیہ بنت حیی کو الگ فرما لیا تھا پھر ان سے نکاح فرما لیا۔
Hazrat Muhammad Ghanimat ke bare mein farmate hain ke Ghanimat mein khums Allah ke liye hai, aur Allah ke Nabi ka hissa hai aur Ghanimat mein Allah ke Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke liye Safi hai. (Safi woh khas hissa jisko Allah ke Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) Taqseem Ghanimat se pehle hi apne liye alag farma lein) Hazrat Ibn e Sereen (Raz) farmate hain ke Allah ke Nabi ke liye Ghanimat mein Behtreen Qaidi ko alag kiya gaya, phir khums nikala gaya, phir logon ke hissa mein se chahe woh Hazir ho ya Ghaib hissa nikala gaya. Hazrat Ibn e Sereen farmate hain ke Khaibar ke din Allah ke Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne Hazrat Safiyyah Bint Huyai ko ba tor Safi alag farma liya tha. Aur Hazrat Shobai farmate hain ke Khaibar wale din Aan Hazrat (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne Hazrat Safiyyah Bint Huyai ko alag farma liya tha phir unse Nikah farma liya.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ : فِي الْمَغْنَمِ خُمُسٌ لِلَّهِ ، وَسَهْمٌ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَالصَّفِيِّ ، وَقَالَ ابْنُ سِيرِينَ : يُؤْخَذُ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ خَيْرُ رَأْسٍ مِنَ السَّبْيِ ، ثُمَّ يُخْرَجُ الْخُمُسُ ، ثُمَّ يُضْرَبُ لَهُ بِسَهْمِهِ مَعَ النَّاسِ غَابَ أَوْ شَهِدَ ، وَقَالَ ابْنُ سِيرِينَ : كَانَ الصَّفِيُّ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ صَفِيَّةُ بِنْتُ حُيَيِّ وَقَالَ الشَّعْبِيُّ : « كَانَ الصَّفِيُّ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ صَفِيَّةُ بِنْتُ حُيَيِّ اسْتَنْكَحَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ »
