Accepting gifts from polytheists
قَبُولُ هَدَايَا الْمُشْرِكِينَ

It is narrated from Hazrat Zuhri (R.A) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not accept a gift from one of the polytheists. Hazrat Zuhri (R.A) states that after you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), the rulers used to accept their gifts.
حضرت زھری (رض) سے مروی ہے کہ آنحضرت (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے مشرکین میں سے ایک شخص کا ہدیہ قبول نہیں فرمایا، حضرت زہری فرماتے ہیں کہ پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے بعد امراء ان کے ہدایا قبول فرما لیتے تھے۔
Hazrat Zuhri (RA) se marvi hai ki Aanhazrat (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne mushrikeen mein se aik shakhs ka hadiya qubool nahin farmaya, Hazrat Zuhri farmate hain ki phir aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke baad umara un ke hadiya qubool farma lete thay.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ ، عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ثُمَّ « إِنَّ الْأُمَرَاءَ بَعْدُ قَبِلُوا هَدَايَاهُمْ »
