What They Said About Crying Out of Fear of Allah

Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 35710
Hazrat Hassan (R.A) narrated that among your (peace be upon him and his progeny) companions, one died a week before the other, so people gave preference to the one who died first. It was in their minds that he was better than the other. Then this matter was narrated to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his progeny), so he (peace be upon him and his progeny) said: "Did the second one not live for one more week than the first, and offered this and that many more prayers?" As if you (peace be upon him and his progeny) were giving preference to the second over the first.
حضرت حسن (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے دو صحابیوں میں سے ایک دوسرے سے ایک جمعہ پہلے فوت ہوگیا تو لوگوں نے مرنے والے کو فضیلت دی۔ ان کے ذہنوں میں تھا کہ یہ دوسرے سے بہتر ہے۔ پھر یہ بات رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو بیان کی گئی تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : کہ کیا دوسرا اول سے ایک جمعہ زیادہ نہیں زندہ رہا اور اس نے اتنی اتنی نمازیں زیادہ پڑھیں۔ گویا کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) دوسرے کو اس اوّل پر ترجیح دے رہے تھے۔
Hazrat Hassan (RA) farmate hain keh aap (SAW) ke do sahabiyon mein se ek dusre se ek jumma pehle foot ho gaya to logon ne marne wale ko fazilat di. Un ke zehnon mein tha keh yeh dusre se behtar hai. Phir yeh baat Rasul Allah (SAW) ko bayan ki gayi to aap (SAW) ne farmaya : keh kya dusra awwal se ek jumma zyada nahi zinda raha aur us ne itni itni namazain zyada parhin. Goya keh aap (SAW) dusre ko is awwal par tarjeeh de rahe thay.
هُشَيْمٌ قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ أَنَّ رَجُلَيْنِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَاتَ أَحَدُهُمَا قَبْلَ صَاحِبِهِ بِجُمُعَةٍ فَفَضَّلُوا الَّذِي مَاتَ وَكَانَ فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ أَفْضَلَ مِنَ الْآخَرِ ، فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ : أَلَيْسَ بَقِيَ الْآخَرُ بَعْدَ الْأَوَّلِ جُمُعَةً ، صَلَّى كَذَا وَكَذَا صَلَاةً ، قَالَ : فَكَأَنَّهُ فَضَّلَ الْبَاقِيَ "
