Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 35829
Hazrat Mughirah bin Shuba narrates that the first time I recognized the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was when I was walking with Abu Jahl in Makkah and we met the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He said to Abu Jahl, "O Abu al-Hakam! Come to Allah, come to the Messenger of Allah and come to the Book of Allah. I invite you to Allah." He replied, "O Muhammad! You do not refrain from speaking ill of our gods. If you want us to testify that you have conveyed the message, then we testify that you have conveyed the message." Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) left, so Abu Jahl turned to me and said, "By God! I know that what he is saying is true, but the people of Banu Qusay said that we have the custodianship of the Ka'bah." We said, "Right." Then they said that we have the gathering of the pilgrims. We said, "Right." Then they said that we have the seat of the chiefs. We said, "Right." They said that we have the honor of giving water to the pilgrims. We said, "Right." Then they also fed and we also fed, and now that the movement of people has increased, they say that we have a Prophet. By God, we will never believe him.
حضرت مغیرہ بن شعبہ فرماتے ہیں کہ سب سے پہلے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو میں نے اس وقت پہچانا جب میں مکہ میں ابو جہل کے ساتھ چل رہا تھا کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ہمیں ملے اور آپ نے ابو جہل سے کہا کہ اے ابو الحکم ! اللہ کی طرف آؤ، اللہ کے رسول کی طرف آؤ اور اللہ کی کتاب کی طرف آؤ، میں تمہیں اللہ کی طرف بلاتا ہوں۔ اس نے جواب دیا اے محمد ! تم ہمارے معبودوں کو برا بھلا کہنے سے باز نہیں آتے ہو۔ اگر تم اس بات کی گواہی چاہتے ہو کہ تم نے پیغام پہنچادیا تو ہم اس بات کی گواہی دیتے ہیں کہ تم نے پیغام پہنچا دیا۔ پھر رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) تشریف لے گئے تو ابوجہل میری طرف متوجہ ہوا اور کہنے لگا کہ خدا کی قسم ! میں جانتا ہوں کہ جو کچھ یہ کہہ رہے ہیں وہ حق سچ ہے لیکن بنو قصی والوں نے کہا کہ ہم میں کعبہ کی دربانی ہے۔ ہم نے کہا ٹھیک ہے۔ پھر انھوں نے کہا کہ ہم میں حاجیوں کی مہمانی ہے۔ ہم نے کہا کہ ٹھیک ہے۔ پھر انھوں نے کہا کہ ہم میں سرداروں کے بیٹھنے کی جگہ ہے۔ ہم نے کہا ٹھیک ہے۔ انھوں نے کہا کہ ہم میں حاجیوں کو پانی پلانے کا اعزاز ہے۔ ہم نے کہا ٹھیک ہے۔ پھر انھوں نے بھی کھلایا اور ہم نے بھی کھلایا اور اب جب لوگوں کی آمدورفت بڑھ گئی ہے تو وہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم میں نبی ہے۔ خدا کی قسم ہم ہرگز اس کو نہیں مانیں گے۔
Hazrat Mugheera bin Shaaba farmate hain keh sab se pehle Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko mein ne us waqt pehchana jab mein Makkah mein Abu Jahl ke saath chal raha tha keh Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) humain mile aur aap ne Abu Jahl se kaha keh aye Abu Al Hakam! Allah ki taraf aao, Allah ke Rasool ki taraf aao aur Allah ki kitaab ki taraf aao, mein tumhein Allah ki taraf bulata hun. Us ne jawab diya aye Muhammad! tum humare maboodon ko bura bhala kehne se baaz nahin aate ho. Agar tum is baat ki gawahi chahte ho keh tum ne paigham pahucha diya to hum is baat ki gawahi dete hain keh tum ne paigham pahucha diya. Phir Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) tashreef le gaye to Abu Jahl meri taraf mutawajjah hua aur kehne laga keh Khuda ki qasam! mein janta hun keh jo kuchh yeh keh rahe hain woh haq sach hai lekin Banu Qasi walon ne kaha keh hum mein Kaaba ki darbani hai. Hum ne kaha theek hai. Phir unhon ne kaha keh hum mein haajion ki mehmani hai. Hum ne kaha keh theek hai. Phir unhon ne kaha keh hum mein sardaron ke baithne ki jagah hai. Hum ne kaha theek hai. Unhon ne kaha keh hum mein haajion ko pani pilane ka aazaz hai. Hum ne kaha theek hai. Phir unhon ne bhi khilaya aur hum ne bhi khilaya aur ab jab logon ki aamad o raft barh gayi hai to woh kehte hain keh hum mein nabi hai. Khuda ki qasam hum hargiz is ko nahin manenge.
الْفَضْلُ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ قَالَ : قَالَ الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ : إِنَّ أَوَّلَ يَوْمٍ عَرَفْتُ فِيهِ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنِّي كُنْتُ أَمْشِي مَعَ أَبِي جَهْلٍ بِمَكَّةَ ، فَلَقِينَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ لَهُ : يَا أَبَا الْحَكَمِ ، " هَلُمَّ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَإِلَى رَسُولِهِ وَإِلَى كِتَابِهِ أَدْعُوكَ إِلَى اللَّهِ ، فَقَالَ : يَا مُحَمَّدُ ، مَا أَنْتَ بِمُنْتَهٍ عَنْ سَبِّ آلِهَتِنَا ، هَلْ تُرِيدُ إِلَّا أَنْ نَشْهَدَ أَنْ قَدْ بَلَّغْتَ ، فَنَحْنُ نَشْهَدُ أَنْ قَدْ بَلَّغْتَ ، قَالَ : فَانْصَرَفَ عَنْهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ ، فَأَقْبَلَ عَلَيَّ فَقَالَ : وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ أَنَّ مَا يَقُولُ حَقٌّ وَلَكِنْ بَنِي قَصِيٍّ قَالُوا : فِينَا الْحِجَابَةُ ، ⦗ص:٢٥٦⦘ فَقُلْنَا : نَعَمْ ، ثُمَّ قَالُوا : فِينَا الْقِرَى ، فَقُلْنَا : نَعَمْ ، ثُمَّ قَالُوا : فِينَا النَّدْوَةُ ، فَقُلْنَا : نَعَمْ ، ثُمَّ قَالُوا : فِينَا السِّقَايَةُ ، فَقُلْنَا نَعَمْ ، ثُمَّ أَطْعَمُوا وَأَطْعَمْنَا حَتَّى إِذَا تَحَاكَّتِ الرُّكَبُ قَالُوا : مِنَّا نَبِيٌّ وَاللَّهِ لَا أَفْعَلُ "
