What Abu Bakr Memorized About Uhud and What Was Said About It
هَذَا مَا حَفِظَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي أُحُدٍ وَمَا جَاءَ فِيهَا

Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair narrates about the verse: { وَلاَ تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِینَ قُتِلُوا فِی سَبِیلِ اللہِ أَمْوَاتًا ، بَلْ أَحْیَائٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّہِمْ یُرْزَقُونَ } (And do not consider those who are killed in the way of Allah as dead, but rather they are alive with their Lord, being provided for.) When Hazrat Hamza bin Abdul Muttalib and Musab bin Umair were martyred on the day of Uhud, they said, "If only our brothers knew of the good that we have attained, they would be even more eager." So, Allah Almighty said, "I will convey this message from you to them." Then, this verse was revealed: { وَلاَ تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِینَ قُتِلُوا فِی سَبِیلِ اللہِ أَمْوَاتًا } (And do not consider those who are killed in the way of Allah as dead) until { الْمُؤْمِنِینَ } (the believers).
حضرت سعید بن جبیر، { وَلاَ تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِینَ قُتِلُوا فِی سَبِیلِ اللہِ أَمْوَاتًا ، بَلْ أَحْیَائٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّہِمْ یُرْزَقُونَ } کے بارے میں ارشاد فرماتے ہیں۔ جب احد کے دن حضرت حمزہ بن عبد المطلب اور مصعب بن عمیر شہید ہوگئے تو انھوں نے کہا۔ ہم جس خیر کو پاچکے ہیں۔ کاش ! اس کی خبر ہمارے بھائیوں کو ہوجائے تاکہ وہ مزید رغبت کریں۔ تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے ارشاد فرمایا۔ میں یہ بات تمہاری طرف سے (ان کو) پہنچا دوں گا۔ پھر یہ آیت نازل ہوئی۔ { وَلاَ تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِینَ قُتِلُوا فِی سَبِیلِ اللہِ أَمْوَاتًا } سے لے کر { الْمُؤْمِنِینَ } تک ۔
Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair, { wala tahsabanna allatheena qutiloo fee sabeeli Allahi amwatan, bal ahyaon AAinda rabbihim yurzaqoon } ke bare mein irshad farmate hain. Jab Uhad ke din Hazrat Hamza bin Abdul Muttalib aur Musab bin Umair shaheed hogaye to unhon ne kaha. Hum jis khair ko pachuke hain. Kash! Is ki khabar hamare bhaiyon ko hojae taake wo mazeed ragbat karen. To Allah ta'ala ne irshad farmaya. Main ye baat tumhari taraf se (un ko) pohancha doonga. Phir ye ayat nazil hui. { wala tahsabanna allatheena qutiloo fee sabeeli Allahi amwatan } se lekar { almomineen } tak.
وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، " ﴿ وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ قُتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَمْوَاتًا بَلْ أَحْيَاءٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ ﴾ [ آل عمران : ١٦٩ ] " قَالَ : لَمَّا أُصِيبَ حَمْزَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ وَمُصْعَبُ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ قَالُوا : لَيْتَ إِخْوَانَنَا يَعْلَمُونَ مَا أَصَبْنَا مِنَ الْخَيْرِ كَيْ يَزْدَادُوا رَغْبَةً ، فَقَالَ اللَّهُ : أَنَا أُبَلِّغُ عَنْكُمْ ، فَنَزَلَتْ : ﴿ وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ قُتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَمْوَاتًا ﴾ [ آل عمران : ١٦٩ ] إِلَى قَوْلِهِ : ﴿ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴾ [ آل عمران : ١٧١ ] "
