Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 37892
Hazrat Abu Ghalib narrates: "I was in the mosque of Damascus when people brought seventy heads of the Khawarj (Harura). These heads were installed on the stairs of the mosque. When Hazrat Abu Umama arrived and saw their heads, he said, 'These are the dogs of Hellfire. These are the worst creatures to walk under the sky. And those whom they killed are the best of the slain under the sky.' Then he wept and looked at me and said, 'O Abu Ghalib! Are you from the city of these people?' I said, 'Yes.' He said, 'May Allah keep you safe.' Then he said, 'Do you read Surah Al-Imran?' I said, 'Yes.' He said, 'Allah Almighty says: {From it are verses that are precise - they are the foundation of the Book - and others unspecific. As for those in whose hearts is deviation [from truth], they will follow that of it which is unspecific, seeking discord and seeking an interpretation [suitable to them]. And no one knows its [true] interpretation except Allah. But those firm in knowledge say...} And Allah Almighty says: {On the Day when [some] faces will be whitened and [some] faces will be blackened. As for those whose faces are blackened, [to them it will be said], "Did you disbelieve after your belief? Then taste the punishment for what you used to disbelieve."' Hazrat Abu Ghalib says, 'I said, 'O Abu Umama! I saw tears flowing from your eyes, what is the reason for this?' He said, 'Yes! My eyes are shedding tears out of mercy for them. They were from among the people of Islam. The Children of Israel were divided into seventy-one sects and this Ummah will be increased by one sect, all of them will go to Hell except for the largest group. Upon them is what they were obliged to do and upon you is what you were obliged to do. If you obey this largest group, you will find guidance, and it is only upon the Messenger to convey the message clearly. Listening and obeying is better than falling into a sect and being rigid.' A man said to him, 'O Abu Umama! Are you saying this from your own opinion or have you heard it from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)?' He said, 'If I were to say this from my own opinion, I would become one who dares in matters of religion! I have heard this from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), not once, twice, but seven times.'"
حضرت ابو غالب فرماتے ہیں کہ میں دمشق کی جامع مسجد میں تھا کہ لوگ ستر خارجیوں (حروریوں) کے سر لے کر آئے۔ ان سروں کو مسجد کی سیڑھیوں پر نصب کردیا گیا۔ جب حضرت ابو امامہ تشریف لائے اور ان کے سروں کو دیکھا تو فرمایا کہ یہ جہنم کے کتے ہیں۔ آسمان کے نے چر مارے جانے والے یہ بدترین مخلوق ہیں۔ اور جنہیں انھوں نے قتل کیا ہے وہ آسمان کے نیچے سب سے بہترین مقتول ہیں۔ پھر وہ روئے اور میری طرف دیکھا اور مجھ سے فرمایا کہ اے ابو غالب ! تم ان لوگوں کے شہر سے ہو ؟ میں نے کہا جی ہاں۔ انھوں نے فرمایا کہ اللہ نے تمہیں محفوظ رکھا۔ پھر فرمایا کہ کیا تم سورة آل عمران پڑھتے ہو ؟ میں نے کہا جی ہاں۔ انھوں نے فرمایا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتے ہیں :{ مِنْہُ آیَاتٌ مُحْکَمَاتٌ ہُنَّ أُمُّ الْکِتَابِ وَأُخَرُ مُتَشَابِہَاتٌ فَأَمَّا الَّذِینَ فِی قُلُوبِہِمْ زَیْغٌ فَیَتَّبِعُونَ مَا تَشَابَہَ مِنْہُ ابْتِغَائَ الْفِتْنَۃِ وَابْتِغَائَ تَأْوِیلِہِ ، وَمَا یَعْلَمُ تَأْوِیلَہُ إِلاَّ اللَّہُ وَالرَّاسِخُونَ فِی الْعِلْمِ } اور اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتے ہیں : { یَوْمَ تَبْیَضُّ وُجُوہٌ وَتَسْوَدُّ وُجُوہٌ فَأَمَّا الَّذِینَ اسْوَدَّتْ وُجُوہُہُمْ أَکَفَرْتُمْ بَعْدَ إیمَانِکُمْ فَذُوقُوا الْعَذَابَ بِمَا کُنْتُمْ تَکْفُرُونَ } حضرت ابو غالب فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے عرض کیا اے ابوامامہ ! میں نے آپ کو دیکھا کہ آپ کی آنکھوں سے آنسو بہہ رہے تھے، اس کی کیا وجہ ہے ؟ انھوں نے فرمایا ہاں ! ان پر رحمت کی وجہ سے میری آنکھوں سے آنسو نکل رہے ہیں۔ وہ اہل اسلام میں سے تھے۔ بنی اسرائیل والے اکہتر فرقوں میں تقسیم ہوئے اور اس امت میں ایک فرقے کا اضافہ ہوگا، وہ سب جہنم میں جائیں گے سوائے بڑی جماعت کے۔ ان پر وہ ہے جس کے وہ مکلف بنائے گئے اور تم پر وہ ہے جس کے تم مکلف بنائے گئے۔ اگر تم اس بڑی جماعت کی اطاعت کرو گے تو ہدایت پا جاؤ گے اور پیغام دینے والے پر تو بات کو کھول کھول کر بیان کردینا ہی ہوتا ہے۔ بات کو سننا اور اطاعت کرنا فرقہ میں پڑنے اور معصیت سے بہتر ہے۔ ایک آدمی نے ان سے کہا کہ اے ابو امامہ ! یہ بات آپ اپنی رائے سے کہہ رہے ہیں یا آپ نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے سنی ہے ؟ انھوں نے فرمایا کہ اگر میں یہ بات اپنی رائے سے کہوں تو دین کے معاملے میں جرأت کرنے والا بن جاؤں گا ! میں نے یہ بات رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے ایک ، دو مرتبہ نہیں بلکہ سات مرتبہ سنی ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Ghalib farmate hain keh mein Dimashq ki Jame Masjid mein tha keh log satar kharijiyon (Haroriyon) ke sar le kar aye. In saron ko masjid ki seedhiyon par nasb kar diya gaya. Jab Hazrat Abu Umama tashreef laye aur in ke saron ko dekha to farmaya keh yeh jahannum ke kutte hain. Aasman ke ne char mare jane wale yeh sab se buri makhlooq hain. Aur jinhen inhon ne qatal kiya hai woh aasman ke neeche sab se behtarin maqtool hain. Phir woh roye aur meri taraf dekha aur mujh se farmaya keh aye Abu Ghalib! Tum in logon ke shehar se ho? Maine kaha ji haan. Inhon ne farmaya keh Allah ne tumhen mahfooz rakha. Phir farmaya keh kya tum Surah Al-Imran parhte ho? Maine kaha ji haan. Inhon ne farmaya keh Allah Ta'ala farmate hain: {Minhu aayaatun muhkamaatun hunna ummul kitaab wa-ukharu mutashaabihaatun fa-amma allatheena fee quloobihim zayghun fayattabi'oona ma tashabaha minhu ibtighaa-al fitnati wa-ibtighaa ta'weelihi, wa ma ya'lamu ta'weeluhu illa Allahu wa-alrraasikhoona fil 'ilm} aur Allah Ta'ala farmate hain: {Yawma tab yaththu wujuuhun wa taswaddu wujuuhun fa-amma allatheena iswaddat wujuuhuhum a kafartum ba'da eemaanikum fa thooqu al-'athaaba bima kuntum takfuroon} Hazrat Abu Ghalib farmate hain keh maine arz kiya aye Abu Umama! Maine aap ko dekha keh aap ki aankhon se aansoo beh rahe the, is ki kya wajah hai? Inhon ne farmaya haan! In par rehmat ki wajah se meri aankhon se aansoo nikal rahe hain. Woh ahl Islam mein se the. Bani Israel wale ikhattar firqon mein taqseem huye aur is ummat mein ek firqe ka izafa hoga, woh sab jahannum mein jayenge siwaye badi jamaat ke. In par woh hai jis ke woh mukallaf banaye gaye aur tum par woh hai jis ke tum mukallaf banaye gaye. Agar tum is badi jamaat ki itaat karo ge to hidayat pa jao ge aur paigham dene wale par to baat ko khol khol kar bayan kar dena hi hota hai. Baat ko sun na aur itaat karna firqe mein parne aur masiyat se behtar hai. Ek aadmi ne in se kaha keh aye Abu Umama! Yeh baat aap apni rai se keh rahe hain ya aap ne Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) se suni hai? Inhon ne farmaya keh agar mein yeh baat apni rai se kahon to deen ke mamle mein jurrat karne wala ban jaunga! Maine yeh baat Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) se ek, do martaba nahin balkeh saat martaba suni hai.
قَطَنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَبُو مُرَيٍّ ، عَنْ أَبِي غَالِبٍ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ فِي مَسْجِدِ دِمَشْقَ فَجَاءُوا بِسَبْعِينَ رَأْسًا مِنْ رُءُوسِ الْحَرُورِيَّةِ فَنُصِبَتْ عَلَى دُرْجِ الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَجَاءَ أَبُو أُمَامَةَ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِمْ فَقَالَ : كِلَابُ جَهَنَّمَ ، شَرُّ قَتْلَى قُتِلُوا تَحْتَ ظِلِّ السَّمَاءِ ، وَمَنْ قَتَلُوا خَيْرُ قَتْلَى تَحْتَ السَّمَاءِ ، وَبَكَى فَنَظَرَ إِلَيَّ وَقَالَ : يَا أَبَا غَالِبٍ ، إِنَّكَ مِنْ بَلَدِ هَؤُلَاءِ ؟ قُلْتُ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : أَعَاذَكَ قَالَ : أَظُنُّهُ قَالَ : اللَّهُ مِنْهُمْ : قَالَ : تَقْرَأُ آلَ عِمْرَانَ ؟ قُلْتُ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : ﴿ مِنْهُ آيَاتٌ مُحْكَمَاتٌ هُنَّ أُمُّ الْكِتَابِ وَأُخَرُ مُتَشَابِهَاتٌ فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ زَيْغٌ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ مَا تَشَابَهَ مِنْهُ ابْتِغَاءَ الْفِتْنَةِ وَابْتِغَاءَ تَأْوِيلِهِ وَمَا يَعْلَمُ تَأْوِيلَهُ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَالرَّاسِخُونَ فِي الْعِلْمِ ﴾ [ آل عمران : ٧ ] قَالَ : ﴿ يَوْمَ تَبْيَضُّ وُجُوهٌ وَتَسْوَدُّ وُجُوهٌ فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ اسْوَدَّتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ أَكَفَرْتُمْ بَعْدَ إِيمَانِكُمْ فَذُوقُوا الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ ﴾ [ آل عمران : ١٠٦ ] قُلْتُ : يَا أَبَا أُمَامَةَ ، إِنِّي رَأَيْتُكَ تَهْرِيقُ عَبْرَتَكَ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، رَحْمَةً لَهُمْ ، إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْإِسْلَامِ ، قَالَ : افْتَرَقَتْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ عَلَى وَاحِدَةٍ وَسَبْعِينَ فِرْقَةً ، وَتَزِيدُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةُ فِرْقَةً وَاحِدَةً ، كُلُّهَا فِي النَّارِ إِلَّا السَّوَادَ الْأَعْظَمَ ; عَلَيْهِمْ مَا حَمَلُوا وَعَلَيْكُمْ مَا حُمِّلْتُمْ ، وَإِنْ تُطِيعُوهُ تَهْتَدُوا ; وَمَا عَلَى الرَّسُولِ إِلَّا الْبَلَاغُ ، السَّمْعُ وَالطَّاعَةُ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْفُرْقَةِ وَالْمَعْصِيَةِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ : يَا أَبَا أُمَامَةَ ، أَمِنْ رَأْيِكَ تَقُولُ أَمْ شَيْءٍ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ ؟ قَالَ : إِنِّي إِذًا لَجَرِيءٌ ، قَالَ بَلْ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ غَيْرَ مَرَّةٍ وَلَا مَرَّتَيْنِ حَتَّى ذَكَرَ سَبْعًا "
