Regarding the Night of Decree, and which night it is

Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 8666
Hazrat Ibn Abbas narrated that once during Ramadan, I was sleeping when a man came to me and said, 'Tonight is Laylat al-Qadr.' I woke up in a state of sleep and, holding onto the rope of one of the tents of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), I presented myself in his service, and he was praying. I estimated the night, and it was the twenty-third night of Ramadan. Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Abbas narrates that Satan appears with the sun every night except for Laylat al-Qadr. This is why, on the day of Laylat al-Qadr, the sun rises white and without rays.
حضرت ابن عباس فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں رمضان میں سویا ہوا تھا کہ ایک آدمی میرے پاس آیا اور اس نے کہا کہ آج شبِ قدر ہے۔ میں نیند کی حالت میں بیدار ہوا اور نبی پاک (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ایک خیمہ کی رسی کو پکڑ کر آپ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا تو آپ نماز پڑھ رہے تھے۔ میں نے رات کا اندازہ لگایا تو وہ رمضان کی تیئسویں رات تھی۔ حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس فرماتے ہیں کہ شیطان شبِ قدر کے علاوہ ہر رات سورج کے ساتھ برآمد ہوتا ہے۔ اسی وجہ سے شب قدر کے دن سورج سفید حالت میں بغیر کرنوں کے طلوع ہوتا ہے۔
Hazrat Ibn Abbas farmate hain ke aik martaba mein Ramzan mein soya hua tha ke aik aadmi mere pass aaya aur us ne kaha ke aaj Shab e Qadr hai. Mein neend ki halat mein bedaar hua aur Nabi Pak (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke aik khaima ki rassi ko pakar kar aap ki khidmat mein hazir hua to aap namaz parh rahe the. Mein ne raat ka andaza lagaya to woh Ramzan ki teesvi raat thi. Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas farmate hain ke Shaitan Shab e Qadr ke ilawa har raat suraj ke sath barmad hota hai. Isi wajah se Shab e Qadr ke din suraj safaid halat mein baghair kirnon ke talu hota hai.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : أُتِيتُ وَأَنَا نَائِمٌ فِي رَمَضَانَ ، فَقِيلَ لِي : إِنَّ اللَّيْلَةَ لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ ، قَالَ : فَقُمْتُ وَأَنَا نَاعِسٌ ، فَتَعَلَّقْتُ بِبَعْضِ أَطْنَابِ فُسْطَاطِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ ، « فَأَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي ، فَنَظَرْتُ فِي اللَّيْلَةِ ، فَإِذَا هِيَ لَيْلَةُ ثَلَاثٍ وَعِشْرِينَ » قَالَ : وَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ : « إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَطْلُعُ مَعَ الشَّمْسِ كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ ، إِلَّا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ ، وَذَلِكَ أَنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ يَوْمَئِذٍ بَيْضَاءَ لَا شُعَاعَ لَهَا »
