Regarding the Night of Decree, and which night it is

Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 8665
Hazrat Abu Aqrab Asadi said that we visited Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood and found him on the roof of his room. We heard him saying before coming down that Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth. We said to him that we heard you saying before coming down that Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth. Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood said that Laylat al-Qadr is in the last seven days of Ramadan, and its sign is that the sun, on that morning, rises white and without rays. When I saw the sun, I found it in the same condition as it was described to me, so I expressed the greatness of Allah with joy.
حضرت ابو عقرب اسدی کہتے ہیں کہ ہم حضرت ابن مسعود کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے، ہم نے انھیں کمرے کی چھت پر موجود پایا، ہم نے سنا کہ وہ نیچے اترنے سے پہلے کہہ رہے تھے کہ اللہ اور اس کے رسول نے سچ فرمایا۔ ہم نے ان سے کہا کہ ہم نے آپ کو سنا کہ آپ نے نیچے اترنے سے پہلے کہا اللہ اور اس کے رسول نے سچ فرمایا۔ حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعود نے فرمایا کہ شبِ قدر رمضان کے دوسرے نصف کے سات دنوں میں ہے، اس کی علامت یہ ہے کہ اس رات میں سورج جب طلوع ہوتا ہے تو سفید ہوتا ہے اور کرنوں کے بغیر ہوتا ہے۔ جب میں نے سورج کو دیکھا تو اسے اسی حالت میں پایا جس حالت مں ے مجھے بتایا گیا تھا، چنانچہ میں نے خوشی سے اللہ کی کبریائی بیان کی۔
Hazrat Abu Aqrab Asadi kehte hain ki hum Hazrat Ibn Masood ki khidmat mein hazir huye, humne unhen kamre ki chhat par mojood paya, humne suna ki woh neeche utarne se pehle keh rahe the ki Allah aur uske Rasool ne sach farmaya. Humne unse kaha ki humne aapko suna ki aapne neeche utarne se pehle kaha Allah aur uske Rasool ne sach farmaya. Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood ne farmaya ki Shab e Qadr Ramadan ke doosre nisf ke saat dinon mein hai, uski alamat yeh hai ki us raat mein sooraj jab taloo hota hai to safaid hota hai aur kirnon ke baghair hota hai. Jab maine sooraj ko dekha to usey usi halat mein paya jis halat mein mujhe bataya gaya tha, chunancha maine khushi se Allah ki kibriyaai bayaan ki.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ أَبِي يَعْفُورٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الصَّلْتِ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَقْرَبٍ الْأَسَدِيِّ ، قَالَ : أَتَيْنَا ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ ، فِي دَارِهِ فَوَجَدْنَاهُ فَوْقَ الْبَيْتِ فَسَمِعْنَاهُ يَقُولُ : قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنْزِلَ صَدَقَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ ، فَقُلْنَا لَهُ : سَمِعْنَاكَ تَقُولُ : قَبْلَ أَنْ تَنْزِلَ صَدَقَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ ، فَقَالَ : « إِنَّ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي السَّبْعِ مِنَ النِّصْفِ الْآخِرِ ، وَذَلِكَ أَنَّ الشَّمْسَ تَطْلُعُ يَوْمَئِذٍ بَيْضَاءَ لَا شُعَاعَ لَهَا » فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَى الشَّمْسِ فَرَأَيْتُهَا كَمَا حَدَّثَ فَكَبَّرْتُ
