‌كِتَابُ صَلَاةِ التَّطَوُّعِ وَالْإِمَامَةِ وَأَبْوَابٌ مُتَفَرِّقَةٌ

Regarding the prayer between Maghrib and Isha

‌فِي الصَّلَاةِ بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ

Regarding the reward of the two rak'ahs after Maghrib

‌فِي ثَوَابِ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ

Regarding the prayer between Dhuhr and Asr

‌فِي الصَّلَاةِ بَيْنَ الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ

Regarding the four rak'ahs before Dhuhr, who preferred them

‌فِي الْأَرْبَعِ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ مَنْ كَانَ يَسْتَحِبُّهَا

The four rak'ahs before Dhuhr, should they be lengthened or shortened

‌الْأَرْبَعُ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ يَطُولَنَّ أَوْ يُخَفَّفْنَ

Who prayed eight rak'ahs before Dhuhr

‌مَنْ كَانَ يُصَلِّي قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ ثَمَانِ رَكَعَاتٍ

‌فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْعَصْرِ

A man misses the prayer in his community mosque

‌الرَّجُلُ تَفُوتُهُ الصَّلَاةُ فِي مَسْجِدِ قَوْمِهِ

Who said: He prays in his mosque

‌مَنْ قَالَ: يُصَلِّي فِي مَسْجِدِهِ

Who disliked praying after the prayer like it

‌مَنْ كَرِهَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ بَعْدَ الصَّلَاةِ مِثْلَهَا

Is being close to the mosque better or being far

‌الْقُرْبُ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ أَفْضَلُ أَمِ الْبُعْدُ

Regarding a man who makes up his prayer, does he perform voluntary prayers in the same place

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يَقْضِي صَلَاتَهُ يَتَطَوَّعُ فِي مَكَانِهِ

Who permitted performing voluntary prayers in the same place

‌مَنْ رَخَّصَ أَنْ يَتَطَوَّعَ فِي مَكَانِهِ

Who disliked the imam performing voluntary prayers in the same place

‌مَنْ كَرِهَ لِلْإِمَامِ أَنْ يَتَطَوَّعَ فِي مَكَانِهِ

Who preferred to advance and not delay in prayer

‌مَنْ كَانَ يَسْتَحِبُّ أَنْ يَتَقَدَّمَ وَلَا يَتَأَخَّرَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ

Regarding a man who prays and passes by a verse of mercy or a verse of punishment

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يُصَلِّي فَيَمُرُّ بِآيَةِ رَحْمَةٍ أَوْ آيَةِ عَذَابٍ

Regarding a man who prays and passes by the prayer upon the Prophet ﷺ

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يُصَلِّي، فَيَمُرُّ بِالصَّلَاةِ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

Regarding a pregnant woman who sees blood, should she pray or not

‌فِي الْحَامِلِ تَرَى الدَّمَ، أَتُصَلِّي أَمْ لَا

What is said if she sees it while in labor

‌مَا فِيهِ إِذَا رَأَتْهُ وَهِيَ تُطْلَقُ

Regarding the leadership in prayer by a blind man, who permitted it

‌فِي إِمَامَةِ الْأَعْمَى، مَنْ رَخَّصَ فِيهِ

Who disliked the leadership in prayer by a blind man

‌مَنْ كَرِهَ إِمَامَةَ الْأَعْمَى

Regarding a Bedouin imam

‌فِي الْإِمَامِ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ

Who permitted the leadership in prayer by the child of adultery

‌مَنْ رَخَّصَ فِي إِمَامَةِ وَلَدِ الزِّنَا

‌مَنْ كَرِهَ ذَلِكَ

Regarding the leadership in prayer by a person who has been punished

‌فِي الْمَحْدُودِ يَؤُمُّ

Regarding the leadership in prayer by a slave

‌فِي إِمَامَةِ الْعَبْدِ

Regarding a man who leads his father in prayer

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يَؤُمُّ أَبَاهُ

Who said: If he visits the people, he does not lead them in prayer

‌مَنْ قَالَ: إِذَا زَارَ الْقَوْمَ فَلَا يَؤُمُّهُمْ

Who permitted sitting cross-legged in prayer

‌مَنْ رَخَّصَ فِي التَّرَبُّعِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ

Who disliked that

‌مَنْ كَرِهَ ذَلِكَ

Who said: If he prays while sitting, he should make his standing position cross-legged

‌مَنْ قَالَ: إِذَا صَلَّى وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ، جَعَلَ قِيَامَهُ مُتَرَبِّعًا

Who said: If he prays cross-legged, he should fold his legs

‌مَنْ قَالَ: إِذَا صَلَّى مُتَرَبِّعًا فَيُثْنِي رِجْلَهُ

If he arrives and the row is complete

‌إِذَا جَاءَ وَقَدْ تَمَّ الصَّفُّ

Regarding a man who leads women in prayer

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يَؤُمُّ النِّسَاءَ

Regarding a man and a woman praying with a wall between them and the imam

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ يُصَلِّي وَبَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْإِمَامِ حَائِطٌ

Who permitted that

‌مَنْ كَانَ يُرَخِّصُ فِي ذَلِكَ

Regarding the muezzin praying in the minaret

‌فِي الْمُؤَذِّنِ يُصَلِّي فِي الْمِئْذَنَةِ

The woman prays in a garment

‌الْمَرْأَةُ فِي ثَوْبٍ تُصَلِّي

Regarding the woman if she only has one garment

‌فِي الْمَرْأَةِ إِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهَا إِلَّا ثَوْبٌ

On praying in a single garment

‌فِي الصَّلَاةِ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ

Praying in a cloak and a garment

‌الصَّلَاةُ فِي الْجُبَّةِ وَالْمُسْتُقَةِ

The woman prays without covering her hair

‌الْمَرْأَةُ تُصَلِّي وَلَا تُغَطِّي شَعْرَهَا

Regarding the slave woman praying without a headscarf

‌فِي الْأَمَةِ تُصَلِّي بِغَيْرِ خِمَارٍ

Regarding the newly built and the old mosque

‌فِي الْمَسْجِدِ الْمُحْدَثِ وَالْعَتِيقِ

A man enters the mosque and prays a rak'ah in it

‌الرَّجُلُ يَدْخُلُ الْمَسْجِدَ فَيَرْكَعُ فِيهِ رَكْعَةً

Regarding praying with a bow and a sword

‌فِي الصَّلَاةِ فِي الْقَوْسِ وَالسَّيْفِ

What is permitted in terms of leaving the congregation

‌مَا رُخِّصَ فِيهِ مِنْ تَرْكِ الْجَمَاعَةِ

Regarding combining two prayers on a rainy night

‌فِي الْجَمْعِ بَيْنَ الصَّلَاتَيْنِ فِي اللَّيْلَةِ الْمَطِيرَةِ

Regarding His saying: 'Establish the prayer at the decline of the sun' [Quran 17:78]

‌فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: ﴿أَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ لِدُلُوكِ الشَّمْسِ﴾ [

Regarding a man who has eye pain and is advised to lie down

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يَشْتَكِي عَيْنَيْهِ، فَيُوصَفُ لَهُ أَنْ يَسْتَلْقِيَ

Who said: If it is a cloudy day, hasten Dhuhr and delay Asr

‌مَنْ قَالَ: إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ غَيْمٍ، فَعَجِّلُوا الظُّهْرَ، وَأَخِّرُوا الْعَصْرَ

Regarding His saying: 'They used to sleep but little by night' [Quran 51:17]

‌فِي قَوْلِهِ ﵎: ﴿كَانُوا قَلِيلًا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَ﴾ [

Regarding a garment coming from the weaver, can he pray in it

‌فِي الثَّوْبِ يَخْرُجُ مِنَ النَّسَّاجِ يُصَلِّي فِيهِ

Regarding a man raising his sight to the sky in prayer

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ رَفَعَ بَصَرَهُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ

Regarding the two rak'ahs of Fajr

‌فِي رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ

At what hour are the two rak'ahs of Fajr prayed

‌فِي رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ أَيُّ سَاعَةٍ تُصَلَّيَانِ

What is recited in them

‌مَا يَقْرَأُ بِهِ فِيهِمَا

Who said: They are lightened

‌مَنْ قَالَ: تُخَفَّفَانِ

Who said: There is no harm in lengthening them

‌مَنْ قَالَ: لَا بَأْسَ أَنْ تُطَوَّلَا

Regarding a man who starts the prayer at night and Fajr comes upon him

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يَفْتَتِحُ الصَّلَاةَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَيُدْرِكُهُ الْفَجْرُ

Who did not perform voluntary prayers in the mosque

‌مَنْ كَانَ لَا يَتَطَوَّعُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ

Whoever preferred to pray the two rak'ahs after Maghrib at home

‌مَنْ كَانَ يَسْتَحِبُّ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ فِي بَيْتِهِ

Who said: Delay the two rak'ahs after Maghrib

‌مَنْ قَالَ: يُؤَخِّرُ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ

Lying down after the two rak'ahs of Fajr

‌الِاضْطِجَاعُ بَعْدَ رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ

Who disliked it

‌مَنْ كَرِهَهُ

Talking after the two rak'ahs of Fajr

‌الْكَلَامُ بَعْدَ رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ

Who did not permit talking between them

‌مَنْ كَانَ لَا يُرَخِّصُ فِي الْكَلَامِ بَيْنَهُمَا

About the man who enters the mosque at Fajr

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يَدْخُلُ الْمَسْجِدَ فِي الْفَجْرِ

Who said: Pray them before you enter the mosque

‌مَنْ قَالَ: صَلِّهِمَا قَبْلَ أَنْ تَدْخُلَ الْمَسْجِدَ

About leaning towards the Qiblah and sitting with the knees up

‌فِي التَّسَانُدِ إِلَى الْقِبْلَةِ وَالِاحْتِبَاءِ

On the reward for the Isha prayer on a dark night

‌فِي ثَوَابِ صَلَاةِ الْعَتَمَةِ فِي اللَّيْلَةِ الْمُظْلِمَةِ

‌فِي تَغْمِيضِ الْعَيْنِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ

On tightening the belt in prayer

‌فِي شَدِّ الْحَقْوِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ

Who permitted praying without a lower garment and not tightening the belt

‌مَنْ رَخَّصَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ بِغَيْرِ إِزَارٍ وَلَا يَشُدُّ حَقْوَهُ

Praying in a cloak

‌الصَّلَاةُ فِي الْقَبَاءِ

About the Imam who stands above his companions

‌فِي الْإِمَامِ يَرْتَفِعُ عَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ

About the Imam who makes a special supplication for himself

‌فِي الْإِمَامِ يَخُصُّ نَفْسَهُ بِدُعَاءٍ

On blowing in prayer

‌فِي النَّفْخِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ

Who permitted resting in prayer

‌مَنْ رَخَّصَ فِي التَّرْوِيحِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ

‌مَنْ كَرِهَ ذَلِكَ

Who said: Pray seated in the ship

‌مَنْ قَالَ: صَلِّ فِي السَّفِينَةِ جَالِسًا

‌مَنْ قَالَ: يَدُورُ مَعَ الْقِبْلَةِ حَيْثُ دَارَتْ

On sailors praying

‌فِي الْمَلَّاحِينَ يُصَلُّونَ

When the sailor is a Magian and the people pray while he is in front of them

‌الْمَلَّاحُ يَكُونُ مَجُوسِيًّا فَيُصَلِّي الْقَوْمُ وَهُوَ بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ

What the unconscious person should make up for in prayer

‌مَا يُعِيدُ الْمُغْمَى عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ

Who said: He does not have to make it up

‌مَنْ قَالَ: لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ إِعَادَةٌ

‌مَنْ قَالَ: صَلَاتُهُ الَّتِي صَلَّى فِي الْجَمَاعَةِ

Who said: If you repeat Maghrib, add a rak'ah

‌مَنْ قَالَ: إِذَا أَعَدْتَ الْمَغْرِبَ فَاشْفَعْ بِرَكْعَةٍ

‌فِي إِعَادَةِ الصَّلَاةِ

‌مَنْ كَانَ يَكْرَهُ إِعَادَةَ الصَّلَاةِ

‌مَنْ كَرِهَ السَّمَرَ بَعْدَ الْعَتَمَةِ

‌مَنْ رَخَّصَ فِي ذَلِكَ

Who said: Make the last of your prayers at night an odd number (Witr)

‌مَنْ قَالَ: يَجْعَلُ الرَّجُلُ آخِرَ صَلَاتِهِ بِاللَّيْلِ وَتْرًا

The man who enters the mosque and has missed the prayer

‌الرَّجُلُ يَدْخُلُ الْمَسْجِدَ، وَقَدْ سُبِقَ بِالصَّلَاةِ

Who said: There is no harm in doing voluntary prayers before the obligatory

‌مَنْ قَالَ: لَا بَأْسَ أَنْ يَتَطَوَّعَ قَبْلَ الْمَكْتُوبَةِ

Regarding the people who come to the mosque and the prayer has been performed, who said: There is no harm in them praying together

‌فِي الْقَوْمِ يَجِيئُونَ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ وَقَدْ صُلِّيَ فِيهِ، مَنْ قَالَ: لَا بَأْسَ أَنْ يَجْمَعُوا

Who said: They pray individually and do not pray together

‌مَنْ قَالَ: يُصَلُّونَ فُرَادَى، وَلَا يَجْمَعُونَ

The man who misses some of the prayer with the Imam

‌الرَّجُلُ تَفُوتُهُ بَعْضُ الصَّلَاةِ مَعَ الْإِمَامِ

‌فِي الْإِيمَاءِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ

Who, when reciting: 'Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High' would say: 'Glory be to my Lord, the Most High'
