It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The one who is farthest from the mosque, his reward will be greater.
حضرت ابوہریرہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ جو مسجد سے جتنا دور ہوگا اس کا اجر اتنا ہی زیادہ ہوگا۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah se riwayat hai keh Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne irshad farmaya keh jo masjid se jitna door hoga us ka ajr utna hi zyada hoga.
Hazrat Aswad bin Ala narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When any one of you leaves his house for the mosque, with the intention of prayer, then for each step that he takes, a good deed is written for him and a sin is erased.
حضرت اسود بن علاء کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ جب تم میں سے کوئی شخص مسجد کے ارادے سے اپنے گھر سے نکلتا ہے تو ہر قدم پر اس کے لیے ایک نیکی لکھی جاتی ہے اور ایک گناہ صاف ہوتا ہے۔
Hazrat Aswad bin Ala kehte hain ke Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne irshad farmaya ke jab tum mein se koi shakhs masjid ke irade se apne ghar se nikalta hai to har qadam par uske liye ek neki likhi jati hai aur ek gunah saaf hota hai.
Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that our houses were far from the mosque, so we intended to move closer to the Prophet's Mosque (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). When we mentioned this to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), he said, "Do not do that, stay where you are. Whenever a believer performs ablution well and then sets out for the mosque, for every step he takes, a good deed is written for him and a sin is forgiven."
حضرت جابر فرماتے ہیں کہ ہمارے گھر مسجد سے دور تھے، ہم نے ارادہ کیا کہ ہم مسجد نبوی حضور (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے قریب ہوجائیں۔ جب ہم نے حضور (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے اس بات کا ذکر کیا تو آپ فرمایا کہ ایسا نہ کرو، تم جہاں رہتے ہو وہیں سے آؤ، جب بھی کوئی مومن شخص اچھی طرح وضو کرے اور پھر مسجد کے ارادے سے نکلے تو ہر قدم پر اس کے لیے ایک نیکی لکھی جاتی ہے اور ایک گناہ معاف ہوتا ہے۔
Hazrat Jabir farmate hain ke hamare ghar masjid se door thay, hum ne irada kya ke hum masjid nabvi huzoor (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ke qareeb hojaen. Jab hum ne huzoor (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) se is baat ka zikar kya to aap farmaya ke aisa na karo, tum jahan rehte ho wahin se aao, jab bhi koi momin shakhs achi tarah wuzu kare aur phir masjid ke irade se nikle to har qadam par us ke liye ek neki likhi jati hai aur ek gunah maaf hota hai.
Hazrat Anas bin Malik narrates that the tribe of Banu Salima intended to leave their area and build houses near the mosque. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) disliked the idea that Medina might become congested and said, "O Banu Salima! Don't you believe in the reward for your footsteps?" They replied, "Why not?" So they decided to stay where they were.
حضرت انس بن مالک فرماتے ہیں کہ بنو سلمہ نے ارادہ کیا کہ اپنے علاقے کو چھوڑ کر مسجد کے قریب گھر بنالیں۔ حضور (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اس بات کو ناپسند کیا کہ مدینہ گنجان ہوجائے اور فرمایا کہ اے بنو سلمہ ! کیا تم اپنے قدموں پر ثواب کا یقین نہیں رکھتے ؟ انھوں نے کہا کیوں نہیں۔ پھر انھوں نے اپنی جگہ ہی رہنے کا فیصلہ کرلیا۔
Hazrat Anas bin Malik farmate hain keh Banu Salma ne irada kiya keh apne ilaqe ko chhor kar masjid ke qareeb ghar bana len. Huzoor (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne is baat ko napasand kiya keh Madina gunjaan ho jaye aur farmaya keh aye Banu Salma! kya tum apne qadmon par sawab ka yaqeen nahin rakhte? Unhon ne kaha kyun nahin. Phir unhon ne apni jaga hi rehne ka faisla kar liya.
Hazrat Hassan narrates that the houses of Banu Salima were far from the mosque. They decided to move closer to the mosque so that they could pray with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to them, "O Banu Salima! Don't you want to be rewarded for your footsteps?" They replied, "Why not?" So they stayed in their same houses.
حضرت حسن فرماتے ہیں کہ بنو سلمہ کے گھر مسجد سے دور تھے، انھوں نے مسجد کے قریب منتقل ہونے کا فیصلہ کیا تاکہ حضور (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ نماز پڑھ سکیں۔ اس پر حضور (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ان سے فرمایا کہ اے بنو سلمہ ! کیا تم اپنے نشانات قدم پر ثواب نہیں لینا چاہتے ؟ انھوں نے کہا کیوں نہیں ؟ پھر وہ اپنے انہی گھروں میں ٹھہر گئے۔
Hazrat Hassan farmate hain ke Banu Salma ke ghar masjid se door thay, unhon ne masjid ke qareeb muntaqil hone ka faisla kya taake Huzoor (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke sath namaz parh saken. Iss par Huzoor (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne unse farmaya ke aye Banu Salma! Kya tum apne nishanaat qadam par sawab nahin lena chahte? Unhon ne kaha kyun nahin? Phir woh apne unhi gharon mein theher gaye.
Hazrat Abi bin Ka'b narrates that there was a man in Medina, and in my opinion, among those who prayed facing the Qibla, his house was the farthest from the mosque. Someone suggested to him, "Why don't you get a donkey so that you can ride it to the mosque in case of rain, darkness, etc.?" He replied, "I don't like the idea of my house being adjacent to the mosque." This matter was mentioned to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and he himself came to him and asked, "Are the steps I take to and from the mosque also recorded in my book of deeds?" You (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Allah has granted you this, and in addition to this, whatever deed you hoped for reward, Allah has granted you that too."
حضرت ابی بن کعب فرماتے ہیں کہ مدینہ میں ایک آدمی تھا اور میرے خیال میں قبلہ کی طرف رخ کر کے نماز پڑھنے والوں میں مسجد سے سب سے زیادہ دور گھر اسی کا تھا۔ کسی نے اس سے کہا کہ تم گدھا لے لو تاکہ بارش اور اندھیرے وغیرہ میں اس پر سوار ہو کر مسجد آ جایا کرو۔ اس پر اس نے کہا کہ مجھے یہ بات بالکل پسند نہیں ہے کہ میرا گھر مسجد کے ساتھ ملا ہوا ہو۔ اس بات کا تذکرہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے کیا گیا اور اس نے بھی حاضر خدمت ہو کر عرض کیا کہ کیا مسجد کی طرف میرے آنے جانے والوں قدموں کو بھی میرے نامہ اعمال میں لکھا جاتا ہے۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا کہ اللہ نے تمہیں یہ بھی عطا کردیا اور اس کے علاوہ جس عمل میں تم نے ثواب کی امید رکھی اللہ نے تمہیں وہ بھی عطا کردیا۔
Hazrat Ubay bin Ka'ab farmate hain ki Madina mein ek aadmi tha aur mere khayal mein qibla ki taraf rukh kar ke namaz parhne walon mein masjid se sab se zyada door ghar isi ka tha. Kisi ne us se kaha ki tum gadha le lo taaki baarish aur andhere waghaira mein is par sawar ho kar masjid aa jaya karo. Is par us ne kaha ki mujhe yeh baat bilkul pasand nahin hai ki mera ghar masjid ke saath mila hua ho. Is baat ka tazkira Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) se kiya gaya aur us ne bhi hazir khidmat ho kar arz kiya ki kya masjid ki taraf mere aane jaane walon qadmon ko bhi mere nama aamaal mein likha jata hai. Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya ki Allah ne tumhen yeh bhi ata kar diya aur is ke ilawa jis amal mein tum ne sawab ki umeed rakhi Allah ne tumhen woh bhi ata kar diya.
Ibn Abi Layla reported: When the tribe of Banu Salim intended to move their houses near the mosque, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to them, "A good deed is written for every step you take."
ابن ابی لیلیٰ کہتے ہیں کہ جب بنو سلمہ نے اپنے مکانات مسجد کے قریب کرنے کا ارادہ کیا تو حضور (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ان سے فرمایا کہ ہر قدم پر ایک نیکی لکھی جاتی ہے۔
Ibn e Abi Laila kehte hain ke jab Banu Salma ne apne makaanat masjid ke qareeb karne ka irada kiya to Huzoor (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne un se farmaya ke har qadam par ek neki likhi jati hai.
