Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 6007
Hazrat Anas bin Malik narrates that the tribe of Banu Salima intended to leave their area and build houses near the mosque. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) disliked the idea that Medina might become congested and said, "O Banu Salima! Don't you believe in the reward for your footsteps?" They replied, "Why not?" So they decided to stay where they were.
حضرت انس بن مالک فرماتے ہیں کہ بنو سلمہ نے ارادہ کیا کہ اپنے علاقے کو چھوڑ کر مسجد کے قریب گھر بنالیں۔ حضور (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اس بات کو ناپسند کیا کہ مدینہ گنجان ہوجائے اور فرمایا کہ اے بنو سلمہ ! کیا تم اپنے قدموں پر ثواب کا یقین نہیں رکھتے ؟ انھوں نے کہا کیوں نہیں۔ پھر انھوں نے اپنی جگہ ہی رہنے کا فیصلہ کرلیا۔
Hazrat Anas bin Malik farmate hain keh Banu Salma ne irada kiya keh apne ilaqe ko chhor kar masjid ke qareeb ghar bana len. Huzoor (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne is baat ko napasand kiya keh Madina gunjaan ho jaye aur farmaya keh aye Banu Salma! kya tum apne qadmon par sawab ka yaqeen nahin rakhte? Unhon ne kaha kyun nahin. Phir unhon ne apni jaga hi rehne ka faisla kar liya.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، قَالَ : أنا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّ بَنِي سَلِمَةَ أَرَادُوا أَنْ يَتَحَوَّلُوا عَنْ مَنَازِلِهِمْ قَرِيبًا مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَكَرِهَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ تَعْرَى الْمَدِينَةُ ، فَقَالَ : « يَا بَنِي سَلِمَةَ ، أَلَا تَحْتَسِبُونَ آثَارَكُمْ ؟» قَالُوا : بَلَى فَثَبَتُوا
