Hazrat Abu Salama narrates that I asked Hazrat Aisha about the Tahajjud prayer of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). She replied that he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would pray thirteen rak'ahs during the night in Ramadan and in other months, including the two sunnah rak'ahs of Fajr.
حضرت ابو سلمہ فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضرت عائشہ سے عرض کیا کہ مجھے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی نماز تہجد کے بارے میں آگاہ کیجئے۔ انھوں نے فرمایا کہ حضور (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) رمضان اور غیر رمضان میں رات کو تیرہ رکعت نماز پڑھتے تھے جن میں فجر کی دو سنت رکعتیں بھی شامل ہیں۔
Hazrat Abu Salma farmate hain keh maine Hazrat Ayesha se arz kiya keh mujhe Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki namaz tahajjud ke bare mein agah kijiye. Unhon ne farmaya keh Huzoor (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) Ramzan aur ghair Ramzan mein raat ko terah rakat namaz parhte thay jin mein Fajar ki do sunnat rakaten bhi shamil hain.
Hazrat Jabir narrates that we were returning from Hudaibiya with the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) when we reached the place of Sahaba, Hazrat Muadh said that he would give us water to drink. On this, I went out with some young men, and we ourselves drank water from Athaiah and also filled it in vessels. When the darkness of night fell, a man was getting entangled with his camel on the water. When I looked, it was the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). I took hold of your ride and made you sit down. You went ahead and prayed the Isha prayer, I was on your right side. Then you prayed thirteen rak'ahs.
حضرت جابر فرماتے ہیں کہ ہم نبی پاک (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ حدیبیہ سے واپس آرہے تھے ، جب ہم مقام صہباء پر پہنچے تو حضرت معاذ نے فرمایا کہ ہمیں پانی کون پلائے گا ؟ اس پر میں کچھ نوجوانوں کے ساتھ نکلا اور ہم نے اثایہ سے پانی خود بھی پیا اور برتنوں میں بھی بھرا۔ جب رات کا اندھیرا ہوگیا تو ایک آدمی پانی پر اپنے اونٹ سے الجھ رہا تھا۔ میں نے دیکھا تو وہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) تھے۔ میں نے آپ کی سواری کو پکڑ کر بٹھا دیا۔ آپ آگے بڑھے اور آپ نے عشاء کی نماز پڑھائی، میں آپ کے دائیں طرف تھا۔ پھر آپ نے تیرہ رکعتیں پڑھیں۔
Hazrat Jaber farmate hain keh hum Nabi Pak (SAW) ke sath Hudaibiya se wapas aa rahe thay, jab hum maqam Sahaba par pahunche to Hazrat Moaz ne farmaya keh humain pani kon pilaye ga? Iss par main kuch jawanon ke sath nikla aur humne Asaya se pani khud bhi piya aur bartanom mein bhi bhara. Jab raat ka andhera hogaya to aik aadmi pani par apne unt se ulj raha tha. Maine dekha to woh Rasul Allah (SAW) thay. Maine aap ki sawari ko pakar kar bitha diya. Aap aage barhe aur aap ne Isha ki namaz parhai, main aap ke dain taraf tha. Phir aap ne terah rakaat parhin.
Hazrat Ibn Abbas narrates that once I was with my aunt, Hazrat Ummul Momineen Maymunah (ra) at night. That night, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was also there. At night, I saw you get up and offer eleven or thirteen rak'ahs of prayer.
حضرت ابن عباس فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں رات کو اپنی خالہ ام المؤمنین حضرت میمونہ کے پاس تھا۔ اس رات رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) بھی ان کے یہاں تھے۔ رات کو میں نے دیکھا کہ آپ اٹھے اور آپ نے گیارہ یا تیرہ رکعتیں پڑھیں۔
Hazrat Ibn Abbas farmate hain ke ek martaba main raat ko apni khala Ummul Momineen Hazrat Maimoona ke paas tha. Iss raat Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) bhi unke yahan thay. Raat ko maine dekha ke aap uthay aur aap ne gyarah ya terah rakatain parhin.
